erm...wanna to ask something.

itry to install garmin 5.0XT from computer when my HD connected to computer.

but after finished install the main garmin application, then error "failed to start autorun.exe on your device" occured.

i did tried to flash to the other rom (energy and duty 6.5 and 6.1) but the problem still the same.

Also tried to hard reset after each flash but still remain the same prob.

any idea to solve this prob?

thank you.

It is much easier to install from the device. The fourth post of Samsung Omnia thread here provides a good detailed instruction as how to do it. wink.gif

U have installed but fail to open the application? hmm.gif Then it's not your PDA problem, I guess it's your Garmin software got problem. Maybe you need to download again bcoz ur file might be corrupted.

solution to your problem = go to Windows > Start up and delete any garmin related exe u see.

go to programs (not /storage card/programs) and delete and garmin data from your device not storage card.

shud solve the problem. because when u hard reset maybe it made some files missing and there's this auto start up for garmin that checks those files. or something like that, i cant recall la. but basically its because u changed rom

google and download HTC GPS Tool. From there check if your GPS sat is working fine. if it is, you're probably using pirated garmin thats why. piracy discussion is now allowed here

@logy,

Just to clarify further. At the Official Site you are only allowed to download the official Malaysia/Singapore upgrade ROM and no other ROM with your serial number. However you can download ROMs for other countries here. If you want to download these ROMs I would suggest the WWE (Worldwide English) ROMs only.

Before you flash, read this Dummies Guide first.

hi i am a new htc hd user... This is my first time buying a SIS htc. I used a few HTC before but mostly bought from singapore. I wanna know if i will void my warranty when i install a cooked ROM? I know i can always revert back to the official rom but the seller told me that they cna actually check if we installed a cooked rom before. "Special feature with the HTC HD" his exact words

That is because the USPL or HSPL was not properly installed. Presumably you flashed a new ROM after the HSPL installation. Goto the Dummies Guide listed a few posts earlier.
