So you suggest Dutty ROM also? is it this?
*
That is my preference. I know Dutty V3.9 was one of his best WM6.1 ROM and am not too sure about V4.1. Dutty very quickly came up with V4.1 as the final as he was then busy cooking WM6.5 ROM. V4.0 had quite alot of problems.

i dunno whats other people opinions but for me,touch HD weaknesses are on the processor and ram..if this phone got a better proc n ram, surely it will own iphone..
this is the reason y its so laggy with wm 6.5..but if u find the right 6.5 rom,it wont hav any noticeable lag..just stay away from sense 2.5 and u'll be fine

My experience flashing so many types of ROM on the HD , my personal advise is if you want a stable and reliable cooked rom, stay away from Manila 2.5. This version was develop for the HD2 which has a faster processor.

If you use Manila 2.5 on your HD, the first immediate thing you notice will be your SMS functionality as the interface will be laggy; so much so many guys disable the HTC manila messaging and opt back to Manila 2.1 interface.

Another issue once you multitask and sametime had several web pages open, your unit will not function stable - it is due to the weaker processor unable to cope

Anyway just my 2 cents : I don't find Manila 2.5 in any way better ( other than different look vs 2.1 ) ; if I have a choice on my HD2 I'd like to revert back to Manila 2.1 for just one simple reason: Manila 2.1 offers me quicklink shortcuts up to 36 programs while standard Manil 2.5 only 9 ( with tweaks maximum 20 only ). The added tabs of Tweeter I do not use - i find the builtin Twitter function is half baked with limited functions - so I replace it with 3rd party Twikini or MoTweets

New SIS set or AP? i would suggest you stay away from flashing within 1 or 2months. just to ensure no hardware failure before you start your flashing . 1st thing to do, try to explore around and do only Manila skins Customizing and tweaking.

Someone on this forum recommended laurentius rom which I am using it rite now. The UI is nice. Love it actually & there are some built in tools for you too. U can download from http://laurentius26.net/

If you wanna use Sense 2.5 but hate the message delay... u can always use back windows text messaging feature by installing Zenyee Disable HTC Messaging 1.2 from xda-developer forum.

How you check? What I mean is call SiS and ask for the warranty period wink.gif
I used to check it, so I know they are able to check for you..because when we purchase phone, dealer will send it for warranty registration.. smile.gif

This check ONLY for sets bought from SIS Msia. If one had bought it from other dealer ( even in Msia other authorized dealer not taken from SIS, AP sets etc ) - you will still have warranty in Msia. One of my previous HTC pda I bought from a delaer in Subang Jaya ( AP ) - during warranty period they replace the motherboard FOC
