I would wait till the technology regarding AMD and DDR3 is abit mature...no point being a guinea pig for just a couple hundreds of megahertz (ram speeds)....

Yes,as i said before,it is better to wait for Newer Chipset(8Series)..Although some of us already changed

and its not worth it as ddr3 quite expensive than ddr2

depend on moolah u have bro, if ddr3 is still too expensive at ya place, better stick w/ ddr2 platform. lower vcore is d only reason to go for ddr3 which i can think of now. from what i observed, ddr3 platform require less juice to reach high clock. & less volt mean lower temp (correct me if i'm wrong) thus possible for higher oc mileage. if ur adventurous type + got some extra notes in ya pocket, by all mean go for ddr3, but if u r those play safe type, stay w/ ddr2. my humble 2 cents...

yep, like ah_khoo say low vCORE can do with DDR3 platform...

for ur ans frm me, if u want get a board now, and u can effort DDR3 ram, its ok for u to go for m4a78-t..

but if me, i would use any cheapo or wat i hv now, wait for the latest chipset, is mean the RD890 the pure am3 chipset + ddr3...

hi everyone, yesterday im trying to play with my new gc.. and here some result i want to share.... But this is my first time using ATI...

Score : 17712

CPU : Phenom II x4 955 @ 3.9ghz vcore 1.504v
M/B : DFI DK 790fxb-m2rsh
RAM : 2 x 2gb DDR800 kingston
GC : ATI sapphire 4890 @ 920/1050
OS : Windows Vista ultimate 32bit

then, i try to reach 4.0ghz ... but still cant stand for a along time... just 5 minute, then it stuck oledy..
