u can download it in cydia....search it as mobile terminal...or u can install using ssh built in terminal(winscp) but u need to install ssh from cydia too.

i have WinSCP and OpenSSH already.. can u just gimme a step by step instruction on what to do with the hwpen-1.1.deb file which i downloaded.. sorry noob ah

ok in winscp u need to find this folder root > var > mobile

just put the .deb files in the mobile folder....while u r still in winscp press ctrl +T...there will be mobile terminal pop up windows appear. enter this in the [enter command] dpkg -i files.deb and then press enter...

but as i have tried to install ur requested software unfortunately the software does not support FW 3.0 and above...sorry to say...but u can try if u insist to...

i will be buying iphone in US(AT&T locked). If i activate and use with AT&T sim card while in US, will i face any problem in jailbreak if I back in malaysia. It seems that some forumers faced such issues as "the sim card inserted in this iphone is PIN locked" and cant restore....pls advise...thks

have u try to reboot your iphone?? without freezing at bootscreen(apple logo)?

I bought from singtel n now using singtel card. No unlock needed. After jb n I can used for around half day after that the carrier gone even inside the option u canT find it.

Then I try to restore but with error then after thAt I erase with iPhone option in the setting. So that is the detAils before my iPhone stuck at the apple
logo. Even I try rejb it hang at pineapple logo with activating word.

Hope u can help me? If After jb I still can go for apple official warranty or repair?

just wanna ask bout the jb,if i already have my desire firmware then do i still need to restore and point it to the ipsw file? thanks

just jailbreak it and make sure u select FW3.0 when jailbreak it....dun worry ur phone will still read the 3.0.1 firmware.

Added on August 28, 2009, 5:52 pmyes...and i happen to me when i select the wrong firmware....example i have a 3gs and i accidentally select 3g firmware and it stuck there until i press power button and home button at the same time for a few second....r u sure u have downloaded the right and select the right firmware....??

One word of advise to you guys

NEVER EVER do the ERASE ALL in the settings in the iphone, better just restore the phone

i did some googling, they say might take couple of hours

but i started mine last nite from 11pm - 9am, its still not completed, imagine the screen is switch on for 10 years non stop

guys, im running 3.0.1 on my iphone 3gs MAXIS. i try to jailbreak using redsn0w 0.8. same like many other users, it get stucked at "waiting to reboot'. i have tried countless time unplug/plug in cable. i did it slow, moderate slow, normal, fast, and super fast. also cannot. then i redid everything, by erasing the content in my iphone and start all over with the jailbreaking. then i waited for 4 hours in the "waiting to reboot' screen, and did the unplug/plug back thinge. also cannot!!! wth~
any other alternative to jailbreak it ??

i wanna ask if we jailbreak it, can i still go app store and download those free apps? scared when i sync it all things i downloaded from my jb gone. thanks

yes...ur phone will be the same like before...just a few additional like cydia and icy.....just sync and backup ur iphone first before JB

hiye all.. please tell me if i missed any steps:
1:update firmware to : 3.0.1
2: redsnow 0.8
3: install ultrasnow to unlock
3: restore phone settings
4: install .ipcc

after doing all this, i still cant get any signal from my celcom.
any idea? thanks in advance

why everytime ppl jailbreak got this missing signal. previous phones also had the same problem. i wonder if their problem is solve or not

erm...pelik...u should get the signal at step 3 already.....have u try to restore ur phone back to FW 3.0 and install ultrasn0w?
