He just leave the phone in sleep mode while doing his stuffs. I tried calling him, I was prompted into voice message instead of getting through.
I checked his phone signal, there's 4 bars which is fairly good signal.

I suspect his phone have to stay "awake" or else others can't call in.
Or else I'll ask him to test with EDGE off. Might fix it.

Installer is replaced by Icy.
I advice you to stay away from it, stick with Cydia.

Ooo.. thats why i couldnt find it.. yup agreed with u.. when 1st time i JB my
phone and install cydia along with ICY my phone get very hard to install application
using cydia. but after re-JB and didnt install ICY everything seems fine.

hi all! okay i have a problem with my JBed iphone 3g 3.0 basically everything is running fine but i cant just seem to get my 3G or edge to work since i have unlimited data plan, wifi is working fine but once i turn it off to use 3G/edge it says could not activate cellular data network and i am not subscribed to a cellular data service. anyone have any explanation/solution to this?

I have updated to OS 3.0 and jailbreak and unlocked it using redsnow.

Everything work fine until update cydia this morning.

After the update it hanged. It only shows the Apple logo and after that a black screen will appears.

My phone won't boot up after updating cydia....

Does anyone encountered this problem?

hi, i met this problem before.
is because i installed cydia and icy both together, after that when i updated cydia, it's reboot, and stop at the apple logo forever.

i googled, then they said install without icy. i restore and jailbreak again, this time i install cydia only. and after that i update cydia again, everything goes smooth.

and please noted, not all of the software from cydia is compatible with OS 3.0, so u better google again for which software are not compatible.

Anyone experiencing crashing using redsnow .08?

Now back to purplera1n method.
Purplera1n method works fine on 3GS i am working on.
When tried to install cydelete, cydia downloaded completed but hangs when to restart the cydia. After soft reset, the wife connection is gone (cannot detect any), even though it is on.
Had to restore and tried to use redsnow_8 but it crashed when downloading jailbreak data

not yet try scare will crash..... is there anyone tried on iphone 2g redsn0w 0.8?
