Imagine (not imagine actually, indeed it is for real) most of the seniors or MODs have to answer all the repetitive questions all over again.

hi ,sifu,guru and everyone...

this is an inquiry about jailbreak. im using 3G maxis iphone and as u guys know its official unlock. so these are steps
taken so far:

1 - i have read 1st page
2 - installed everything and jailbreak successfully (redsnow)
3 - restart iphone. everything seems fine like wifi and 3G.
4 - here the problem starts. i go to cydia --> updates --> and my downloading only goes around 10% then stop and error message pop out.
(i cant remember what the actual error stated but i will upload the print screen later)

what should i do guys? re-jailbreak? or go to see one of our guru in here?

u using wifi or 3g line...??: if wifi... try another wifi connection.... as mine also behave the same when using my office wifi...( supposedly powerful but im not sure why)

im using Wifi.. yup tried few wifi already at Jaya Jusco and Oldtown cafe.. so did u manage to settle the problem g3n0cld3? what other option
left to me?

yeah.. i did manage to settle it by trying to another wifi connections... maybe its becoz of the wifi traffic... i use my home wifi and it work perfectly. options? try reJB again and look if there is any difference...

did you have icy installed? if yes.. u need to remove icy.. and resintall cydia.. and do the updates again..

easier step would be.. do the whole thing again, but don't install icy.. update cydia first.. then install icy..

really? will try to use other wifi.. guess there is no other solution other than re-JB if using other wifi still didnt work.. btw thanx for help mate!

yup agreed with u, re-JB and dont install icy..

the manual way is.. remove icy via SSH by deleting the folder.. then.. re-run redsn0w, but only tick cydia.. then update cydia.. then reinstall icy..

last time 2.2 firmware works without setting up APN

now 3.0 just wouldn't automaticly work when turning on "edge" via bossprefs

anyone with 2g gotten edge to work then?

Mail/ Safari: Need to turn ON manual Edge via BossPrefs/ SBSetting
MMS: Wroking automatically even that time the Edge were disabled

i read few pages, every plp install icy n cydia together will facing problem.
if u need icy y dun after JB just install in cydia?

yeah just read bout it today.. finished reinstalled cydia..
try to update.. looks like no prob.. will try more after working hours.
yup will install icy after JB.

But why u need ICY instead cydia is enough? i dont really think icy got anything extra from cydia..
