If ur iphone otb 3.1 is unlock set. Can be jailbroken.

If lock set, stay away from blackra1n

i am mac. i have iphone3g official unlock fw 3.1.2
i have windows xp inside my vmware fusion.
my xp's itunes won't detect my iphone.

then i tried execute ra1n. the status shows waiting for phone.

my iphone is unlocked set.. so just update to 3.1.2 then JB it lo.. correct? no problem right?
use itunes to update to 3.1.2 or wat?

Iphone need to detect in xp first, then u can jailbreak it.

Maybe got setting.. sort of..

From ur configuration, u can proceed to jailbreak it.
Back up ur contact.. etc..

for those who are with lock iphone recommended to use pwnage tools or ask ur friends that have mac computer to burn a custom ipsw for u or u can ask "ur" friends named "GOOGLE"..he can provide a lot of info...remembered for lock iphone...if u update direct from itunes u can jailbreak ur phone with blackra1n but right now there is no way found for unlock ur carrier...for those that have waiting for such along time to jailbreak...congrats

sorry for redsnow..you cant jailbreak wit vista...you have to use mac.well you use blackra1n through vista to jailbreak your phone...check out the ways jailbreak with blackra1n in previous post....its a very simple

u have an unlock iphone so u can use blackra1n to jailbreak ur phone....just download it from the blackra1n site...blackra1n is created for windows so dun worry....for now ucannot jailbreak fw3.1.2 using redsnow even fw3.1....and for windows...we recommended xp for jailbreak...

so i got a question... so as long we have a unlock version for example OTB 3.1 from maxis. its mean even after i update to 3.1.2 and i use blackra1n. It will still stay unlock?? ex. digi and celcom can use??

yes...if u have an unlock...u can use any carrier u want..and u can also have a jailbreak iphone

how come no more tethering? I jbed mine 3gS with firmware 3.1.2 and the tethering still works fine.

Previously from firmware 3.1 (before jb), i faced this issued and called up to maxis center. They suggested me to hard reset the phone by holding the switch off button and home button for around 12 secs. After that just switch on back your phone.....it should works fine after that. If the problem still persist, then can do a restore lo.
