this is my second laptop after my previous laptop, the Acer Aspire 4520-500512Mi was stolen on 14/4/2008

anyone have issue/difficulties regarding to the touchpad??

it seems that i can't live with that glossy touchpad.

using external mouse is faster but for me..i prefer to use touchpad..

any comment?

Wanna ask do u guy got this problem .

When u close down ur lappy lid and turn it into sleep mode .
After that u open up ur lid , and the power button is on but no any screen show out .

Possible but maybe with lowest settings at 800x600. I would play those games with desktop anytime because laptops are not for heavy gaming, especially latest games.

try looking in HP's support.

I have to admit the touchpad is not that smooth especially if your fingers are dry. I use mouse most of the time so not a problem for me.

Sounds like power settings problem. Did you upgrade to latest F49 Bios?

hi...i bought this laptop last year in october...im kinda havin a few problems with it rite now..1st is the lcd...its kinda loose already....2nd is the usb...there is only 1 usb working out of 3...so plz help me out...should i give it back to the shop of go to HP myself...i bought this laptop frm sri computers in low yat for rm1899...hmm...

Is anything I can try to improve gaming performance on my CQ40-502AU? I've tried to playing Prince of Persia and X-Men Origins: Wolverine in my PC and the results is there is a lag when I trying to play it. My CQ40-502AU only receives 3.1 rating in gaming performance although PoP requires 5.0 rating and X-Men Origins: Wolverine requires 4.5 rating. Yes I know this is ATI Radeon HD 3200, integrated graphics type notebook, but there must be a solution to handle this. I need some advice from experts on how to improve gaming performance, would you help me?

and that solution is get a DESKTOP~

go add RAM , it will help some on it . and also try the Window 7 , more stable then Window Vista !

After i open up my lid and all the button that got light will bright out , but the screen will still in black screen without any thing .The only way is press the power button and restart the lappy.

My bios is F49 , should be the latest bios , anyone can help on it ?

if u really need a smooth touch pad, i suggest u buy an ANTI-GLARE screen protector and stick on there, smoother~

BSOD is normally caused by Ram chip failure or overclocking, unstable voltage. Did you us k10stat to under volt? Maybe too low voltge is the cause.

I own a cq40-402ax.. i don't know if this lappy is capable of playing games so i install neverwinterknight.. from the spec i assume it should be able to handle that old game.. however, i'm disappointed since the game is lag really bad, even after i set the detail to low.. why is this happening? i don't do undervolt yet since don't have time to do so.. btw, i already format this lappy to xp succesfully..

hi, do you guys have any problems regarding the lappy's wifi capabilities? My lappy cannot pickup wifi signal clearly, and i cannot sit too far from the wifi signal source in my college's library (if i do, the lappy did not pickup any signal at all, whereas other laptops can).. Hope you guys can help me
