dear guys, i got one unit of - Compaq CQ40-115AU.. having problem with GPU & DVDRW are ting tong as well.. is there anyone interested to buy it over ?? left 2gb ram ( 1gb x 2 ) hdd remove ady.... balance still inside there.. hehe

want to ask. what is the normal temperature for CQ40?

i'm facing the same problem. my first prob after 3-4 years of using this laptop. it's my first laptop as well. did you manage to solve the prob already?

mine also blinking caps lock and num lock...
gosh....just 2years and....

checked with the link given..
1 time blinking which means...CPU problem..

btw..mine is CQ40-406AU

hi all,cq40 113ax owner here.as in 1st page,cq40 use hd3450 gpu.but mine got 9600xt la.anyone else got diff gpu?

oh, i didnt check with that bro.
but catalyst, gpu z n hwmonitor all show
the gpu as abit radeon 9600xt.

btw, i've changed the os to win7, n now its
stated as hd3450..

nope..2years already..

huhu something bad has happened to my laptop already.. that day my friend send me a file and ask me to open it. then i open loh, mana tau is insyde h20 bios update file for ACER 4930.... and there were no confirmation, open and it directly update. i have no choice but to let the update complete as i cannot move my touch pad and other thing else so i fast fast go compaq website to download the original bios back, but after awhile whole system froze already. i cannot even recover to original bios now... now whenever the system is plugged in, the power button light up. i cant even use the windows+b bios recovery utility to recover my bios.. this time really G.G already... thought today morning want send to HP kasi check but mana tau public holiday.. ganathabi can fix this issue ah?

more than 6 times. and endless.

How many times it blink rapidly ?
It will have a longer delay then repeat the same blinking pattern after a quick blink couple time

rapidly? not really. more like 1 second per blink.
