emailed HP e support

told them my processor reach100c . they ask me go to the nearest service center to change processor .

i replied them with asking whether can upgrade to newer processor with some top up . .looking for their reply now.

i am having same problem. But my cpu fan rosak edi. Send to ganabathi to fixed the problem still waiting for spare part.

This laptop always rosak one.

1st time LCD Problem... line at bottom of screen
2nd time GPU problem... fixed
3rd time CPU Fan die... still fixing

I will wait until AMD Fusion laptop come out next year then change my laptop...

I tried to install WinXP on my 126AX, but it seems that my XP Cd is not compatible maybe? I got BSOD after winxp loading from CD, could it came from incompatible driver pre-loaded from that CD?

By the way, Im looking forward to install Win7 on this lappie. So far i didnt see a guide on that, but the driver is allready been distributed on the net.

Problem: Caps Lock and Num Lock blinking, 4 times (graphic?)

My lappy works just fine though. The monitor still works fine, but no more gaming for me.

How to fix this? I flashed my bios to F.55, still nothing. the lights keep blinking.

mine still running strong . 24/7 . lcd ok , cap lock no blink .

just temp high when running newer games , which required more processor power .

Hi, i am using CQ-621AU, running Windows 7, may i know which software can actually display the temperature of hard disk? I am using Notebook Hardware Control 2.0 Pre Release 06, but it can only display CPU temperature but not HDD temperature.

try hardware monitor at www.cpuid.com get the free version.

Thanks, it works. Just that this hardware monitor can't be set to run automatically and place in bottom right there.

Mine CQ40 108AX, 2 years used. Now when play Dota, once wars my screen hang there, this is gc overheat problem?

Some forumers ask me dissembling it then clean the heatsink, will give a try when i free, hope it help. Or else, time to get new lappy, give up on AMD which i support for more than 10 years...

just download the service manual then u able to disassemble ur laptop .

Yesterday just modify that 1 sen method with the Arctic Cooling MX-2 and clean the dusts on the fan , higher temperature for my laptop now is 89c , lower temperature is 43c ..

I already tried to dismantled my CQ40, but I just stopped after 30minutes try. Its not easy tho for newbie like me, lots of screws and plug-thingy. I refer to this video and guess I think I should ask for service then..



By the way, is there any people can help me clean up my lappie around selangor/KL? If Im not mistaken Mr.ganabathi is living around Sg.Petani rite?

CQ40 fan is place on the plastic cover there , got bit different from the video .. but some place really got bit hard to take out ..
