AMD has advantage over the graphic card, Intel has the advantage on faster processor in most of the models

just depends on how you use it, if you don't use it for gaming, for what purpose you need that dedicated graphic?

lol!!!! 108C even worse than the Compaq V3000. have you updated to the latest bios? tell HP engineers to solve the problem for you, rather than spending time with the hot oven/microwave

i have tried Win 7 RC on my CQ40 Intel Platform, the interface is nice, performance not bad.

Pros
Start-up RAM usage is around 520MB only. graphic, sound, LAN, power option, USB, are working without installing HP driver. Touch pad scroll not working(i have not installed the driver)

Cons
pop sound when i off my notebook, i think due to the sound driver. Maybe i need to install the HP driver.

One more thing, if you want to install the Win 7 RC on your laptop, when at the completing stage, it will prompt to restart, eject your disc at that time. Otherwise you would end up getting few copies of windows in your notebook... LOL

use lan cable --->use the modem software connection

wireless connection(if there is wireless service) ---> on your wireless network(button beside the on/off button), search for your modem network then connect... insert password if applicable

if your modem software has been configured, once you plugged in your LAN cable to the notebook, you already connected.

if your router has not been configured, you need to configure the settings first.

that's not simple at all, it's better that you read the manual. on top of that i have never configured a DLink router, just read the manual and you will find the idea of how to deal with it

another better solution is.... go to Network ----> Broadband User to User section

Intel based, Core Duo would start around RM1700 with free dos, i think. Core 2 Duo/Centrino Duo would be around RM2100-2200++ with free dos

i think you can adjust the brightness at the movie maker but everytime the system restarts, the settings will go back to dark

i read it at HP Mini thread, if i'm not mistaken

go back to the shop and fark the fella who did the extended warranty for you.

if nothing done then call HP to complain that shop and ask for solution

The dark webcam issue can be simply fix by clicking into the Microsoft Movie Maker application. Then, find the configuration for the webcam and adjust the brightness, saturation & hue as your wish. Exit Microsoft Movie Maker. Finally your're done!

not 3 months, i think is few weeks time. if yours is still not updated, better call HP to check. Now the customer service of Malaysia and Singapore are joint, you can just call the local toll free number to check it out(weekdays)

microsoft movie maker is in your laptop, if i'm not mistaken.

try to search at your Start Menu or just download from websites. my CQ40 is formatted to Windows 7 RC, therefore not available anymore. Anyway, i think you can download it from the microsoft website. just use google to search
