really glad that know someone love malaysia. i love malaysia too. and i hate those who study abroad and dun wanna come back, and insult malaysia country badly. i tend to ask them, where is ur root, ur parents. no malaysia mean no u. not matter how bad is here, still our home we grew. no offense. |

1) don't think of all the hype when testing cars. don't think of what other ppl say, just make your own assessments about how it drives. what clarkson and all the other wannabe-clarksons say are only guidelines, and not rules to be adhered to. after all, when you buy a car, you buy it for yourself, not other people.
2) a 6er looks way more middle aged than a 5er i think. but really, other ppl's misconceptions about how old a driver should be when driving a certain car is crap, and it should not matter. so disregard what i say when i say the 6er is fugly haha. 3) you're 17, young and impressionable. you want people to look at the car, and what ppl think about the car and about you is important to you. just remember, when you buy a car, you buy it for yourself, not other people. |

em...as per your WTA thread; well 6 series is alrite. 2.5k on FC is sufficient (say em.. 350 per week X 4 = 1400, the balance; spend on clubbing) but subject to your driving mileage and driving method. this is not 2.0 engines..
if u want to consider other car, perhaps Audi TT 3.2 Quattro. This post has been edited by wizardboy: Apr 23 2009, 04:54 PM |

100km/h wont consume much if ur RPM below 2.5k
RM2.5k is enough unless u wish to travel 200km daily 6 series is a decent car, if u talk abt 'actions' on high speed y not consider M6. anyway, satisfactions demand are subjective.. as long as u r happy with the car. if u getting a new unit, no worries if u getting a 2nd hand unit, good luck have fun! word of caution though, especially about high speed action: m cars and 17 year olds aren't always happy stories. you can google around for that 17yo that killed himself and 3 other buddies in his dad's m5 on some runway in the states.

i'm sure u can afford that 300k top up for m6
anyway.. i must agree with Roland. Regardless any car u drive, once u are above that 80km/h, the car is in control; not u. it doesn't matter u gonna attend the adv driving course, but alwayss be ethical and responsible driver.. not all road is meant for speeding. n control ur ego and temper it's easy to speed..easy to drive the car.. but .. trust me, it's not easy to handle a car at high speed. |

QUOTE(wizardboy @ Apr 23 2009, 05:25 PM) i'm sure u can afford that 300k top up for m6 not even 80km/h. back when i was OP's age, i was a bit more inexperienced, and a lapse in judgement/concentration led to me accidentally hitting the kickdown switch on the SL. mid-turn. in the wet. luckily the playstation/gran turismo skills kicked in instinctively and i opposite locked my way out of that, but damn was i close to planting the car into oncoming traffic. i was doing 30-40km/h, and not in control of the car, and the oncoming cars about 60km/h, so you can imagine the sum of all speeds involved would mean some wrecked cars.anyway.. i must agree with Roland. Regardless any car u drive, once u are above that 80km/h, the car is in control; not u. it doesn't matter u gonna attend the adv driving course, but alwayss be ethical and responsible driver.. not all road is meant for speeding. n control ur ego and temper it's easy to speed..easy to drive the car.. but .. trust me, it's not easy to handle a car at high speed. anyways, no adv driving course or training can prevent recklessness, that is the driver's prerogative to use good judgement. also being on the roads every day is a adv driving course in itself haha... good luck OP, there's been some very good advice here interspersed with the trolling. |

Why not opt for a Nissan GTR? Now that's really cool and fast too! But not sure how reliable it is in the long run ... but you can still change cars right?
Btw, you anak datuk or tan sri ah? Affording a RM700k at your age, that's really a lot ... some people can't even get that working a whole life lol This post has been edited by FlamingFox: Apr 23 2009, 06:46 PM |

I'm more than double the OP's age and I like the E92 M3 or 335i much better over the 630/645i. The 6 is a GT cruiser, while the 3 is more raw and exciting. I tot young 17 year olds will prefer the latter. But if daddy gives me a 6 i also sapu ler.
