QUOTE(InF.anime @ Apr 22 2009, 10:50 PM) Very very well said, if i am you, i will get myself a driving license and then test drive this car everyday. my dad is not into politics Your dad is a CEO ? BN people ? QUOTE(oec88 @ Apr 22 2009, 10:53 PM) I thought you said "im considering to buy a 6 series"? dude im the one who decides the carThen now become YOUR DAD? People who can really afford this car and keep this car in their garage, they will not care for the fuel consumption. Unless you are a person who just pay for downpayment and few months later sell off the car, purpose is to show off to people for few months. so its like im the one who is considering la zzz fr the fuel comsumption is 2k a month enough? But even its mother thinks its looks are ‘challenging’." Why not just buy the M5.... 4 doors, more poweeeeer.... suitable fr middle age dudes but not fr teens i guess QUOTE(andyjyneo @ Apr 22 2009, 10:59 PM) Wow, golden child. Since you can claim 6-series, then why worry about FC. Can claim from him also what. my dad said he will only gimme 2.5k fr the FCis it enough? i hear a lot of comment that this car gulp down the oil like water |

QUOTE(OC4/3 @ Apr 22 2009, 11:14 PM) beauty is in the eyes of the beholder mate QUOTE(alwiser @ Apr 22 2009, 11:16 PM) QUOTE(bunta @ Apr 22 2009, 11:17 PM) Boy, how far can you travel a month? this cars that u mentionedRM2500 of petrol can last u at least 10000km. Divide that by 30 days, an average of 330km per day. Which if you still have no idea. Is equivalent to driving from KL-Penang. But for the sake of your safety, literally. Don't buy BMW, cos it's one of the favorite of robbers & hijackers. Get something less popular, like: Alfa Romeo GT Coupe Benz SLK 280 Audi TTS Porsche Cayman S is it easy to get spare part? QUOTE(Roland San @ Apr 23 2009, 03:23 PM) srsly, this is not too far-fetched, there are a lot of people in this country with money. can m3 really live up to the hype?heck, even i've had the pleasure of having some cars i've probably shouldn't have had before my time. now, the E63 6er came out in 2003, about the same time as the E60 5er. we know that the F10 5er replacement is coming out around 2010. one can assume that the 6er replacement would be around that time, and indications are around 2011. mules are already being tested. so consider that the car will be current only for the next two years, and if you intend to keep it for a decade, you'd be having the previous generation for the 8 years after that. and also that the E63 is kinda fugly haha. also consider that the 645Ci road tax will be quite hefty, and I've had a car with the exact same 333hp v8 inside, and it's an engine more suited for cruising around gt style, crossing continents in a day, and not really vroomvroom m6 style. I've also had a car with the same engine as a 630i, which really should be quite sufficient actually, if a tad bit underpowered. but yeah, the advice i'll give you is exactly what i stuck to when i found myself in a position kinda similar to yours very recently: 1) buy european 2) buy a new updated model early in its lifespan 3) buy for classic looks, not for cutting edge 4) buy for reliability, reasonable cost and ease of operation i very almost picked out the new m3. even now, i'd absolutely love to have it. but there are so many other cars out there that are worth looking into, so why don't you have a look into them. bcz many ppl here recommend me the m3 i think i shud try it gonna test it this weekend with my dad hope it doesnt disappoints me lol QUOTE(Travies @ Apr 23 2009, 03:40 PM) if u wan long term, better get 5 series or the incoming all new E class or X6. 6 series is not really term i can say. if i were u, i take 5 series, and take the extra money for some other investment or business. i think in the future u hope to own 1 6 series by ur ownself rite, not ur dad buying again rite.. those car isnt really suitable fr my agethose car are more for the middle age ppl QUOTE(BouncyBall @ Apr 23 2009, 03:41 PM) ignore thouse people who destroy your post, they are probably jealous, even if you are fake, this is a forum where we should share our knowledge, typical Malaysians are always like that... migrate? no thanksanyway, for long term you should seriously consider other cars like a 4 door or something, and you are 17 right?? and you are not going overseas to study?? go and get expose to the world, you might wanna consider to migrate wif the great amount of money your dad have... hahaha... i'm an asian american, used to live in southern california, the cars there are way cheaper compaired here... think about it... hahaha... i love malaysia im going overseas if i got good grades |

QUOTE(Travies @ Apr 23 2009, 04:28 PM) then i strongly suggest u 6 series over M3. really different lar the outlook and style.. if u are rich, just drive what u can, dun bother other ppl. eh really?really glad that know someone love malaysia. i love malaysia too. and i hate those who study abroad and dun wanna come back, and insult malaysia country badly. i tend to ask them, where is ur root, ur parents. no malaysia mean no u. not matter how bad is here, still our home we grew. no offense. hmm nyway ill still be testing the m3 this weekend tho wanna see the difference that everybdys talking about yea malaysia is wonderful QUOTE(silverwave @ Apr 23 2009, 04:29 PM) will do mate |

QUOTE(Roland San @ Apr 23 2009, 04:49 PM) 1) don't think of all the hype when testing cars. don't think of what other ppl say, just make your own assessments about how it drives. what clarkson and all the other wannabe-clarksons say are only guidelines, and not rules to be adhered to. after all, when you buy a car, you buy it for yourself, not other people. thanks mate 2) a 6er looks way more middle aged than a 5er i think. but really, other ppl's misconceptions about how old a driver should be when driving a certain car is crap, and it should not matter. so disregard what i say when i say the 6er is fugly haha. 3) you're 17, young and impressionable. you want people to look at the car, and what ppl think about the car and about you is important to you. just remember, when you buy a car, you buy it for yourself, not other people. QUOTE(wizardboy @ Apr 23 2009, 04:52 PM) em...as per your WTA thread; well 6 series is alrite. 2.5k on FC is sufficient but subject to your driving mileage and driving method. this is not 2.0 engines.. ill be driving it 100km'h> alwaysif u want to consider other car, perhaps Audi TT 3.2 Quattro. well this car is meant for high speed action |
