Long term...
If you're driving it everyday, you better consider other cars. If you're only using it for weekend ride, then it will last for 10 years or more. But then, money is not a problem eh? You buy 1 Swift for weekdays commute and a Porsche Cayman S for weekend ride. Cool? |

QUOTE(happymilk @ Apr 23 2009, 02:00 PM) dudes im not trolling srsly, this is not too far-fetched, there are a lot of people in this country with money.my dad can afford it and i got prove im not a spoilt brat my dad ask me to choose a car so i choose la ill trade that car with my straight A's spm result ive tried gtr b4 and my cuz got a evo but the old one nice car but it does not suite my taste ill be using this car until im married so it will be 10years b4 change to another car long term so i wanna ask u guys is this the right choice im not gonna rush =..= heck, even i've had the pleasure of having some cars i've probably shouldn't have had before my time. now, the E63 6er came out in 2003, about the same time as the E60 5er. we know that the F10 5er replacement is coming out around 2010. one can assume that the 6er replacement would be around that time, and indications are around 2011. mules are already being tested. so consider that the car will be current only for the next two years, and if you intend to keep it for a decade, you'd be having the previous generation for the 8 years after that. and also that the E63 is kinda fugly haha. also consider that the 645Ci road tax will be quite hefty, and I've had a car with the exact same 333hp v8 inside, and it's an engine more suited for cruising around gt style, crossing continents in a day, and not really vroomvroom m6 style. I've also had a car with the same engine as a 630i, which really should be quite sufficient actually, if a tad bit underpowered. but yeah, the advice i'll give you is exactly what i stuck to when i found myself in a position kinda similar to yours very recently: 1) buy european 2) buy a new updated model early in its lifespan 3) buy for classic looks, not for cutting edge 4) buy for reliability, reasonable cost and ease of operation i very almost picked out the new m3. even now, i'd absolutely love to have it. but there are so many other cars out there that are worth looking into, so why don't you have a look into them. |
