A Riot infront of TM headquarters?
I believe we need to do this, even a million well written e-mails will not be as effective as this. Just need someone to lead this shit and I'm so there. We have exhausted every option and nothing seem to have changed, I think it's time for action.

Email the TM HQ to fix the connection line or whatever DNS routing by end of this month or otherwise they will face themshelves on YOUTUBE soon.
Best suggestion is to videoing the slow connection loading on international site and get them to post on YouTube. Let every world know how's the Streamyx claiming themselves as a ISP BROADBAND PROVIDER that can't even load properly in international sites. Hah you call yourself as a ISP BROADBAND, your connection lines can't even compared to DIALUP.

There's one on youtube.Search 'my crappy streamyx connection' and the speedtest shows 24Kbps. LOL

Btw, it dont effect TM when users upload their speedtest to youtube, they're monopoling the BB share. We have to use them or else no internets.

my case is so much funnier, no guy came over after i filed a complaint two weeks back.today i called them to check on the status, they closed the case, nobody came nor called. Have to opened another one, spent about 35 minutes on the phone doing all the troubleshooting. At the end i asked them i told them intermittent problem check my SNR and attenuation and the lady from TM say yeah the former is too low and the latter is too high. Phone line in my new apartment is not a problem, got the wire man to check on that one. My apartment used to have two phone lines, one for my housemate another one for my own. Since my housemate moved out, well the line is still there just no more dialtone, just another leftover wire, so I asked the wireman to connect that line to see if it is the phone line problem. SNR and attenuation still the same.

On the other hand some of my neighbours also having problem connecting to the internet, in fact a few in the area, saw the TM guy going around the area making his rounds, must be lots of complain in my area, one after another. Two days back saw another TM guy fixing the neighbour's phone line. Something must be wrong somewhere

Havent receive a reply yet, last time i sent, they took 3 days to reply... so lets see... thats the best that i could do,

MCMC is hopeless, what can they do? if they ask TM... TM can cook up reasons and stories and say already fix...bla bla...MCMC also cannot do anything. What can they do? They dont control TM's share also...they cannot do anything.

Even my maxis wireless got problem, i complain, MCMC take it up with maxis, my connection improve for few days, and then down again doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif Useless lah. But then i managed to get them to help me terminate the maxis regardless contract terms.

heheh..i think i hit tm quite hard in the balls...they wont dare to reply me with their conventional nonsense, or they might not even reply at all... the WORLD is watching! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

and thanks to those who support me. i better be careful now, i believe TM will start to monitor my online activities etc etc rclxub.gif rclxub.gif sweat.gif

IF TMNET line speed not good, how come no company go bankrupt?
THEN how come my online stock trading profits increase so fast?
Simple answer is fast line = fast profit
ELSE your speed is slow b'cos you dunno how to use

Dont get what u saying, of course all their investors are using high speed lines in their office, it seems that TM is prioritizing Office lines. So of couse they wont know that the speed is slow for us home users. Investors dont/rarely invest in a company because its connection speed is fast...many other factors.

The reason they not going bankrupt is cause we are not switching ISP. We have no where to go either what == P1 WIMAX ah? some location good others nearly unuseable? JARING? very little availablity. Izzi? almost invincible...

what say you?

Totally! Good job Andrew.

Perhaps you could post that to http://www.1malaysia.com.my/index.php as well. I've posted a comment re: the horrible internet services we have to endure on the one of the blog posts there.

i think your letter will only prompt them to do a better blocking job.

If I am not mistaken, those "good" ips are meant for business users. Since their business users are small compared to home users, they have some left over ips from the "good" ips. So they include those ips for home users to use.

I am sure they know about how some IPs are good and bad. Capping and blocking has to be intentional. No such thing as accidental capping. Therefore, with your letter, they will either take out those good IPs from home user access or cap those good IPs as well. So that everyone have a fair capped connection.

If your intention is for them to open up the "bad" IPs then your letter done a bad job of doing it. It only let them know what they are already aware.

Let me remind you they are already using "fair usage policy". They can start capping all they want if you are using too much of your "unlimited" bandwidth. smile.gif

The only way is to have big major complain by lots of users or switch to competitor. But make sure to also complain using the right topic.

And that we are willing to fight to get our rights!! Unless u wana give up on that...then this isnt your place icon_rolleyes.gif

The connection is already so bad, download rate of around 5kbps, Youtube lags, Torrents throttled, Facebook slow, International site nearly inaccesable. Some even takes longer to load then the time we use to make a cup of coffee..
We need the internet to be fast, i search for information online, read reviews, visit international news sites, buy online goods, email etc etc. What do u mean by a better blocking job? Its already at its worst. doh.gif Hahah. yeap at its worst is the best word to describe. Yeah it needs major effort to make a change, so lets start! I'm encourage people to edit my email, make it better, or do another one, and send to TM or relevant authorities. ; ) But do it if only the internet means much to you, if u dont mind the situation, its okay. I'm doing to help the ones which need the international links daily.

Sure, I will support too. But not in this case or at least with this drafted letter. Don't ask me to do cause I am lousy at writing something powerful.

It's not worst yet cause you can still p2p and directdownload with certain IP. The worst is on Apr 1 to Apr12 where they also block directdownload for those good IPs. Now that is horrible indeed.

That is another problem also, why allow p2p and direct DL for certain IP? Last week, download 100kbps plus on 115 ip. Come on, at least balance the traffic!
