hi guys..

last friday i got sore in my left front deltoids, i tought is normal..maybe just a strain or stressed muscle

then yesterday i go gym(still felt a bit pain, but its far better) then i just push myself exercising like normal..now today i feel pain even worse than before
then i go browsing loh, i read about "ROTATOR CUFF DISORDER/TEAR/INJURY"

from the symptom, mostly the same what i felt..even when put my clothes on..i'm having a hard times..
i feel the pain even i try to lift my left hand..

anybody having this kind of injuries before..
should i seek for orthopedic? or just get a home self treatment?
i mean if self treatment can do, no need to see the orthopedic rite? smile.gif

haizzz..cant exercise liao... sad.gif

PS:always do warming up before weight..and stretch between sets..some say it helps to prevent this injuries thumbup.gif

maybe i overuse it..
but when exercise dont feel any sore ler...feel a bit..but not really worse like the day after...early morning when i wake up..
i feel pain when i try to lift my hands

"It takes great force to tear a healthy rotator cuff tendon. This can happen during sports, an accident, or a severe fall. But even a simple movement like lifting a suitcase can cause a rotator cuff tear in an older adult or someone whose shoulder is already damaged."
that i get from here

just curious how long it takes to fully recovered..so i can start my exercise again sad.gif

Adrenaline is a painkiller that's why you don't feel the pain when exercising. Sounds like you've strained your muscles. Rule of the thumb is: don't work out if you feel sore.

Depending on the severity of the damage, it could take weeks to months. If you didn't strain too much, maybe a week or so.

Perhaps you might want to consult a sports doctor. Search LYN. Dr Asron sports clinic or something.

I think you are facing some seriouz problem like my leg. Until now still haven't recover. I guess it probably take years.

But recently my friend's shoulder also kena injury, it is not muscle pain or tear joint, he said something like spraint. How painful it is I don't know, but I think he can suck it up easily.

Push ups. And close grip/triangle/diamond push ups.

It's a good exercise that helps to strengthen the shoulders and the muscles around it (including the rotator cuff and those whachamacallit muscles.)

I'm quite worry actually. Because whenever I do leg press, I always takut anytime might tear the knee area. Like on friday, my attempt on doing 280kg leg press, 1 rep then failed. The pressure is too intense to handle. It is nais to get koyak orgasm from it, but I'm just afraid when things go wrong.

The failed feeling is damn nais, is like you give your ALL, at least you tried. brows.gif

It is better to failed than not trying. But failed with 110%. brows.gif

I also stop doing Arnold Shoulder Press already after seeing this thread. Me scared.

The lat pulldown back is also bad for rotator cuff. I don't do that shit too.

What's wrong with Arnold press?
Form over weight. If tak boleh tahan, drop the weight and get good form.

And yeah, anything that goes to the back of the neck carries high risk of injury for the shoulders. Lat pulldown to back & overhead press from the back. Not recommended until one strengthens his rotator cuff muscles.

Arnold press is good la. Just dont go too heavy

Like what Darkie said, rest.

when I do back and all...I can't even scratch my own back the next few days.
Shoulders as well

Just rest la. dont sikit sikit then takut already. No pain, no gain.

If it still hurts after 2 or 3 days.

Either 1, you didnt rest enough. 2 you didnt eat enough(the right stuff). 3, you REALLY should get it checked.

FORM > WEIGHTS.

But from speculation, some people worry TOO much about form and then their weights suck. Form is important, but learn to balance out. Go heavy else you won't grow.
