Hi guys,

I'm going to purchase a Samsung Galaxy W android phone and need a recommendation on the plan i should take.

1. Very low call hours. My phone line usage is less than rm40-60 per month.

2. I need to use phone GPS service quite often, almost daily.

3. Doesn't really surf facebook/ videos. Mostly just on news reading sites.

So my problem is that i rarely make calls but use GPS quite heavily. Since i'm a first time android and data plan user, i don't know how much GPS will leech the bandwidth.

Hereby, i'm requesting opinions and advises from experienced users and plan users alike.

I've seen bundled package offered by U-Mobile as well for this phone models, but is it worth it? (low disc. but tied to contract)

Guys, sorry for my noob question, but may i ask..
if student without job can apply for the phone bundling plan?
*
i think can la. as long as you can pay the bill. same goes with broadband. they wont ask you to provide them your salary and credit card number only then you're eligible.

Hi guys,

I have been away from Malaysia for more than 2 years and will be going bank to Malaysia for 2 months. Currently I am using an iPhone 4.

Would like to ask which mobile service provider is currently offering the best for value plan? Will need 3GB data services a month and about 300 minutes talk time and 500 text a month.

Can anyone kindly suggest which service provider and plan would be suitable, and will they be providing micro sim?

Celcom New Xpax 28 cents for 10 minutes call.
rm18/week internet add-on = unlimited quota (trust me; don't be fool by the brochure that you read).
6 cents/ sms to any number and within celcom number is 1 sen
wide 3g coverage; almost anywhere is Malaysia.

Don't go for maxis; cut ur throat.

Digi is good too but 3G coverage is limited although they offer rm15/wee internet; also unlimited.

which package is better between Celcom Exec 50 & Mobile internet plan RM58?
i'm an average user. Youtube, what's app,FB...etc. which one suits me better. do both apply extra charge once i exceed the quota? 10cents per 10kb? kinda confuse. i'm looking at a below RM90 monthly. Thx.

you prefer celcom..?

celcom exec 50 is postpaid plan ,

user posted image

so celcom exec 50 + celcom broadband mAdvance [3GB data] = RM 50 + Rm 58 / per month is RM 108

if you choose celcom broadband[mobile] package... , your speed will just throttled if exceeded the data quota[example, 3GB].. so no charge will be incurred

it all depend on your usage..

do you call + sms around RM 50 ??? and use the data 3GB per month ..? .. if yes.. than.. this package is fine..
