Very light userlooking for cheapest plan. One of the problem with pre-pay is u need to topup after credit expired, even though still have plenty of credit left. So looking for

1. Longest credit period
2. If possible cheap online cost
*
U using blackberry then you're lucky hahah rm19 per month!
For umobile:)

Well I can say... Umobile provides rather long credit period. Rm10 gives u 30days validity:) as in u can call out for 30days!
Rm28 permonth for internet on non blackberry phones:)

Let's say U are flying to KLIA tomorrow & staying in a hotel along Jalan Bukit Bintang till Sunday.
In the 3 days, you will be roaming around Jalan Bukit Bintang area & visiting shopping malls reachable by the KL monorail, such as KLCC, Pavilion, Low Yat Plaza, Sungei Wang, etc.

Which MY telco's prepaid voice + 3G card would U pick up in KLIA for your iPhone 4S?
For very good 3G network access speed & voice coverage.
At the least RM cost of course so provides the most value.

Many thanks for your help!

1- u want prepaid card only.
2- u gonna use 3g for?? Online on phone? Or usb stick?
3- connection 2g is actually sufficient for voice calls. Unless wanna use 3g speed to online thru phone.

Since is kl... I would highly recommend any telco as the line there is fairly strong for calls. Unlikely will dc in KL.

For internet usage... If u use digi its rm2 or so per day.

If u want pay per use... Umobile and tunetalks are good... The rate is 5 cents per mb. And call rates for simple prepaid cards, they are the cheapest at 18cents per min.
Highly recommend umobile and tunetalk. As 3g is not bad, and 2g is under celcom as u know celcom is the widest among all.

Yup, I need voice + fast 3.5G network access speed for 3 days only - flying back home on Sunday.
Need fastest 3G network access speed for my iPhone 4S which supports 14.4 Mbps HSDPA.
So the SIM card must be a micro-SIM type.

So which MY telco's prepaid 3G mobile Internet [voice + data] card provides the best value?
FAST 3G network access speed is the most important for my work..

Thank you, Larry! rclxms.gif

Hi guys, need some advice.

Currently I am using hotlink, but has been looking around for which telco is more suited to me for the postpaid plan (If I needed a postpaid to begin with).

I am using Blackberry, and don't use sms or calls that often (as I have company provided number for that), problem is I need a good postpaid plan for my usage of BBM, Internet browsing, emails, and anything related to internet.

Please give some opinion on which telco and what plan is more suited for me, as I am totally blind on how to see the plans and what they all mean.

Thanks inb4. smile.gif

Hello guys, since we have this topic here, i might as well post a question that has been bugging me all these while.. goes to those Digi or Celcom users..

... i am actually planning on subscribing to a mobile internet plan. priority is of course Celcom because i'd like to keep my existing Celcom number. FYI, i have an active Digi prepaid number too.. just wanted your feedback on which plan is best suited for me. at the moment am thinking of changing to the Celcom exec 20 + Celcom Broadband mBasic.

A few questions:-

1. 8pax is definitely something i'd miss from my Celcom prepaid. If i'm not mistaken for postpaid everything is flat rate correct?

2. I'd definitely use the mobile internet plan to do some surfing, emails, google+, updating news+weather, and some tethering for my laptop as well when i'm on travelling. Would the Celcom Broadband mBasic be sufficient enough for me? The speed is what they refer to as "best-effort-basis", so i am wondering what is the exact speed i am getting..

For additional info my location is Kuching Sarawak and i am definitely considering Digi's internet plan too.. thanks in advance. smile.gif

Maybe you can help me. I need 2 contracts (sub?), at least one of them should have internet (200 megs is more than enough tbh, the other one can do with even less, as long as it only slows down when going above that). If possible rather cheap, one contract more focus on internet, the other one on low rates for phone calls.

So far I found digi with DG30, then sub DG smart plan 48 for internet (with auto billing). SA said that would work, but the website says I need at least DG50 to sub others. Are there any other, smarter offers? Promotions? Getting a phone with the contracts (my Magic is getting a bit old) might not be worth it... or is it? If necessary I can import the phone from Germany (bought an Optimus 7 for about RM 600-700...) or China (Xiaomi looks nice).

umobile I'm scared of not getting coverage, or is there any news of them partnering up with Maxis, Celcom or Digi? Data or voice only?

Hi All,

Would like to find out which Telco provides the best IDD rates for SMS?

Tried to look online but only able to find UMobile is at 35 cents and Digi Prepaid is at 20 cents. Not sure about fixed line.

How bout Maxis and Celcom? Are they any cheaper? Thanks!

Guys and girls, I'm really curious. Just now i went through the thread.. i saw someone posted that they bought a SGS2 from Maxis.

Then i went to Maxis.com.my, their android sets does NOT have SGS2.

o.O" what is happening? Did they go to the shop directly to ask?

Hi all,

I need your advice. I currently have a Maxis Postpaid plan. I pay around RM180 a month, but only call about 30 minutes. I hardly use 3G, because I am on wifi most of the time. As a foreigner I paid RM1000 deposit. I want my deposit back before I leave somewhere next year (end). To get that back I need to end my contract in time, as I am sure it will take a while to get it all sorted out correct.

I was thinking of switching to prepaid. Though I do not use 3G that often, I do need it occassionally. I noticed Hotlink and Tunetalk both do not offer 3G, but GPRS/Wap. I am used to slow 3G speeds, as my Maxis 3G speeds were often quite low. With Hotlink I would pay RM10 per mb (but I could get a 2 week 200mb/RM18 pass) and with Tunetalk I would pay 5 sen per MB. This sounds quite ok, but I wonder how slow speeds are.

I also saw the Digi plans. It would be nice to keep my current number.

Could you guys recommend me the best prepaid option with 3G speeds available (in KL)?.
