Simple, U28 from Umobile. Autobilling with CC to get bonus 250 MB (so 1.25 GB a month). Free 200 SMS to others (100 to U). Calls none free, if really very occasional then just pay per use still cheaper than anyone else. Also got some value packs which I use but those are if you use more than 40 minutes of calls to other networks then only worth.

talk most means average how many hours per month? both u and ur wife?if rm50 with a data it is a bit difficult..i can recommend u based on the packages at these 3 links.

http://www.digi.com.my/postpaid/plan_smartplan.do
(well balanced plan and cheap but coverage quality is depending on ur location)

http://www.u.com.my/postpaid-packages/new-postpaid-plans
(very cheap plan for both call and data, but the one without free call package call rates is a bit high 18-20sen/min)

https://www.celcom.com.my/personal/plans/vo...d=1360826467632
(might not within ur budget but if ur willing to take the prime package worth rm40/month + rm38 for 1gb data)

i am pointing out maxis since u wanted to switch out from it.

Hi,

I'm currently on umobile28 postpaid and my usual monthly bill is around RM50 and I am thinking if I switch to Digi Prepaid SmartPlan I might save RM15 or so. Can I switch to prepaid using the same existing number or I have to get a brand new number? Also, do they throttle or actually cut internet data after the quota?

The FAQ here didn't have the answers http://www.digi.com.my/prepaid/plan_prepaid_smartplan.do
Thanks.

Two weeks ago, I went to Celcom Blue Cube at Subang Parade. Initially, wanted to change my old Exec plan to First plan and also change my Pay-Per-Use mobile internet to the monthly package, but surprisingly the celcom guy there said and suggested me to KEEP my Exec plan. I asked why?

"Exec plans are actually unlimited plans (voice and data), EVEN after you have reached your quota.. unlike the First plans, your voice/data will immediately be cut off and you need to pay/topup in order to continue the service. And yes, although unlimited but speed cut will occur once the quota has exceeded (for data) and charged accordingly (for voice). This is good for emergencies whereby during worst case scenarios you need to call someone/go online."

He suggested I keep my Exec plan and change my mobile internet plan. So, now I'm testing and waiting to see the first bill of my Exec 50 + mBasic38 1GB data plan = approx rm88/month.

Correct me if I'm wrong but from my understanding, First plans is limited but the old (and no more available) Exec plans is unlimited. hmm.gif

i use blackberry. most of my contacts are android and rely heavily on whatsapp. quite a number happy with sms onli.

rite now, i'm with maxis. but planning to go for either umobile or digi. in kuantan, both are having good coverage based on my students' feedback.

usually i make calls less than 40mins per month and hundreds of sms (200-250). cant decide with this two: digi smart plan http://www.digi.com.my/prepaid/plan_prepaid_smartplan.do or UMI from umobile. http://www.u.com.my/prepaid/unlimited-mobile-internet-plan

Hi All, am currently looking at the Digi plan for iPhone 5, been walking in and out of Digi Centres here in Subang & Shah Alam but they don't seem to have any more stock. Can please suggest the best way or recommend a Digi Centre that would most likely have stock. Thanks smile.gif

One of my current subscription is with Digi postpaid.
The main line is ~ RM50 fix commitment per month, and one sub-line is ~ RM30 fix commitment per month.

The problem is the main line was hardly used (usage ~ RM10 per month) (use another line for biz call) and the sub-line usage fluctuate between RM20-40 per month.

All voice and sms. No data.

Which Telco and what plan do you think I should migrate to?

Thanks for advice smile.gif

dear sifu

currently on maxis, ported from celcom 3 yrs ago. reason ported was supplement line off-network call charges is more expensive in celcom compared to maxis (20sen/min for celcom vs 15sen/min for maxis)

so after 3 years, things must have changed. any postpaid plan (principal+supplement) which has cheap supplement off-network call charges? plus internet/data plan attached to each principal and supp lines.(no extra charge if exceed quota)

lives in seremban 2 (no p1/unifi/maxis fibre network), balik kpg to kuching... so umobile not considered due to no 3g coverage in sarawak.
need a stable and good data line. maybe consider celcom and maxis as digi not that good in sarawak as well (hearsay?)

recommendations are greatly appreciated. tq

contract with maxis due 27/7

cheers

I am currently on Celcom postpaid with RM68 mobile internet. Monthly bills are averaging from RM120 to RM150, inclusive mobile internet.

Been wanting to change from Celcom since it has been acting $hitty for more than a year now. 3G signal is so weak and Edge is almost non-functional. 3G/Edge signal keeps switching. Complained to SKMM and all Celcom wrote was asking me to manually switch to Edge for more stable connection. Dafuq, right?

So was thinking to switch to U-Mobile. What do you think?

I've been using Maxis prepaid for 11 years and i enjoyed the last 4 years with HYC. Now since it's no more, i need to top up to use the line. I rarely call and it's a waste.

I also have a Digi number that i got last year for my data plan.

I am planning to keep my Maxis number and get a good plan. Digi will be cancelled soon.

Any recommendation for me? I use around 1GB a month for data.
