QUOTE(mffa @ Jun 11 2009, 12:11 AM) But I heard the falken ze-912 not long lasting..means here the tyre easy to become 'botak'..Is that true?? the wearing of the shoulder thread is faster compare to others like Michelin PP2 and Hankook V12... So for the 195/65 R15 can u estimated what is the price per pc??..Before use good year,I use conti comfort contact. The price is RM280 per pc.Don't know if the price is cheap or not.Continental really comfort and bit quiet than GY.I'm still decide between the 3 tyre.Falken, michelin or continental.Michelin I think maybe xm1 because the price is in my budget which is around 260 bucks.owh don't want lerr low profile..later looks like impak maksima. that is for a bit aggressive driving style, but for normal use i think it should be ok... not quite sure about the price as the tire price list does not have Falken912 in your size... |

QUOTE(wch5274 @ Jun 11 2009, 05:47 PM) y not u use 195/60/15 65 series quite hard to find and costly also... my old tyre was continental comfort contact 195/55/15 = RM175 per pcs (not include valve and balancing) I know CCC1 quite quiet... Now im using falken ZE912 195/60/15 = RM175 per pcs (not include valve and balancing) Noise better than ccc1 (maybe due thicker size....) QUOTE(amduser @ Jun 11 2009, 06:00 PM) 65 series is too thick, look like tractor only yea... try out 195/60 R15... and 195/50R15 and 195/55R15 doesn't even look thin, it just look nice and more tires are available at the range of 195/55R15, easier for you to find tires and at a cheaper price compare to 195/65R15 which is better in terms of availability and also wider range of tire to choose from... oh icic... then i think she can try the Michelin PP2...
i thought PP2 come with 55 series and below only... that is a good tire for highway cruising... side wall hard makes maneuver at higher speed wif better steering response... |

of course you will get better handling on the Hard side wall tire...
but soft one will give you more comfort... you choose lo.. PP2 price is a bit high... too bad Hankook V12 don have your size if not you can give tat a try... Dry and Wet handling compare to PP2 about 80~90% cos side wall softer.... but traction on both dry n wet is comparable to PP2... braking also... |

I think it still ok if you buy toyota cars... with normal setup...
coz the suspension is quite soft... so if harder tire you still feel ok... just like i used 2 set of PP2 on my Vios... but if you drive like honda... ppl will complain the ride quite harsh already... |

QUOTE(gohkokho @ Jun 23 2009, 08:57 PM) Hi, beside these 2, what other option do I have? Michelin got? Try look for Michelin Primacy as CheeAnn said... 205/60R16 (Accord/Suzuki SX4 special size) Goodyear Eagle NCT-5 - RM310 @ BHP Service Centre, Gopeng Road, Ipoh (February 2009) Yokohama C.Drive (Philipine) - RM298 @ BHP Service Centre, Gopeng Road, Ipoh (February 2009) QUOTE(bizzy @ Jun 24 2009, 01:35 AM) btw who can give the best choice for those range 230 to below 230 price! for cheap performance tire? ok... you have only 2 choice i think... Michelin PP2 and also Yokohama S Drive... but for S Drive duno have 15" or not...toyo t1r , hankook v12 evo, bfgoodrich gforce, falken 912 the above are few different shop recommended different thing. and all also recommded ad07 but then 4 tire together is already out of my budget compare from above tire and saw the price from the 1st page. currenlty using yokohama parada spec 2. hmm is my 1st 15inch tire. but i can felt that is not that good. for cornering. cuz the sidewall was too soft. and need to pump up 255 pressure in it only can get better grip on corners. mayb good for drifter but PP2 suits u... you can give hankook V12 a try but the side wall was a lil towards comfort... Falken 912 forget it as it is softer than V12... recommended to try Michelin PP2 which i find good in high speed maneuver... |

QUOTE(capiche @ Jun 24 2009, 08:30 PM) i would like to know how much would it be for michelin pp2 on myvi 1.3 stock size? or totally no such size for my pity myvi... well for that size if you want comfort and less noise you should try out the NEW Michelin Primacy LC...and guys... between all models of michelin.. which is better? xm1, pp2 or primacy.. which one more quiet (among this 3?).. road handling not too much of concern as long it must (which most prob will be) perform better than my stupid SS Powerblitz.. haha... thanks u PP2 is more towards performance which you have good cornering ability but the ride is a bit bumpy... you can feel small bumps on the road... luckily ur stock Myvi suspension is tuned for comfort... BTW you can use the 185/65 R14... the Powerblitz throw away la... really sucks... This post has been edited by michael9413: Jun 25 2009, 08:14 AM |

PP2 is for Sporty drive... if handling is a must for you try out PP2... if comfort please to to look for XM1... remember XM1 really cannot do hard cornering... |

Added on July 2, 2009, 10:56 amim currently on Yokohama A.drive QUOTE(bizzy @ Jul 3 2009, 12:22 AM) thanks all for the reply. wow... PP2 not nice??? i tell you PP2 is one of the best all rounder... except it's side wall is on hard side...pp2 is in my list last time but the thread line is not as good as those performance type . haha as hankook rs2 really look nice thread line. yes i more into cornering~ so compare pp2 and hankook rs2 which 1 better? who ever try this two on cornerin before? parada spec 2 really can bring u to hell~ for drifter really is not bad tyre haha . i pump 255 pressure cuz that wanna make the side wall more harder. but it does work well but then the tyre just dont like to bite the road much. brand new of this tire does work very well but u spend it 30% after the tire just suck after that. Hard braking, Heavy Rains, Patch of Water will not even derail from it driving line... I do drive at 170km/h with some times hard braking... (SEG without ABS) still gripping well... heavy rains (Vios) raining cats and dogs still driving 130km/h did not feel anything slipping on PLUS... Hydroplanning... you don need to worry it is among the best in the class... 60km/h over a 2cm deep water patch... no problem... it will not turn pull you car sideways automatically... don n get cheated by it's thread... haha... BTW i use 2 sets already... b4 shift to Hankook V12... no $$$ This post has been edited by michael9413: Jul 6 2009, 10:25 AM |

5.5JJ is the rim width...
for that size 195/60 R15 you can try Michelin XM1 or Michelin Primacy LC or Falken 912... if you want to get 195/65 R15 also can... still within the +/- 3% rules... My dad's Avanza also change to this size... more common... he is using Michelin XM1 now... This post has been edited by michael9413: Jul 7 2009, 11:52 AM |
