this is malaysia, every road also got "speed bump" especially in puchong here shakehead.gif

the one who really suffer is those who drive ferrari and super low ride height cars
*
not in puchong... go to penang inner place then you can see more... haha... trust me...
it is uneven road with patches... holes...

what is the Ori tire size??? we ned to know that...
if you wanna change to bigger size liek the 215 width that you said...
you need to change to at least 16"
the width will make the car more stable... but the tire condition and also quality is also important...
just like the GY NCT5 which normal user said ok...
but do you know that a lot ppl know that it sucks???
i have my ABS activated most of the time when the rain just started and when i'm driving down hill...
do not think wider tire will give you more grip if you wanna but cheap cheap cheap tires...

will be slightly underpower and higher fuel consumption, but you get a more stable ride in exchange..
anti NCT5 fan club, anyone? laugh.gif
*
not that call anti... if you really tried with b4 compare to others it really sucks... left 30~40% the performance drop a lot...
i remember some one in AW forum said... in terms of grip... the forummer said...
GY NCT5 is 40% < Hankook V12 40% < Michelin PP2
he tried all 3 before... yes PP2 is a bit expensive but worth the $$$... used 2 set of PP2 on my Vios after the stock NCT5 tires...

@superdeemon,
you can try Hankook V12 as that is the most famous tire in AW forum...
cheaper than PP2... for 195/55 R15 Hankook is only at RM175 while PP2 is at RM230 in Klang...

you can refer to the 1st page of this thread...
you can try Ban Hooi, Hin Leong, Hock Li, Jooi Seng...
Ban Hooi, Hock Li and Hin Leong is at the Jalan Kapar

Ban Hooi 03-3342 3146
Hock Li 03-3348 8539

the price gap for my size is RM20~40 per tyre i think...
you can ask around and see... some of them even RM50 apart... smile.gif

Hi michael9413,

Thanks for the feedback. Wow, PP2 price has a big gap difference in price between kl and klang. Do you have the klang shop contact no. that I can go for?

Thanks again
*
i just changed to Hankook V12... feel more comfort... raining a little during driving around...
still pretty new... grip ok la... haven try hard corner yet...
then grip also not bad but feel a bit slow when i slightly press my brake pedal... maybe it is more towards comfort...
have to season it until 500km then give it some test...

BTW... 1 of the AW forummer give me this...
read it yourself as the Opel Corsa team give 11 tires a test... smile.gif

g'year excellence cost me rm260 per pc and so far, it is quiet and smooth. But, havebt got a chance to test in the wet condition yet due no rain fall recently, mostly hot-hot-hot weather.

i've thought of hankook but dared not gamble the korean brand and as for falken 912, i don;t really like the tread/groove. Maybe, next time i'll go for michelin brand only

Thank you
*
Well Michelin is a bit over price... but the performance is good also...

QUOTE(yuna_ereina @ May 20 2009, 09:13 PM)
changed to a.drive R1 today.. for RM238 per pc for size 205/45 R16... so far so good on dry road..  cool2.gif will test on wet road when raining day.. blush.gif

----------------------------------------------------------------

Silverstone M5 = RM182
Dunlop SP Sport = RM209
Hankook Ventus EVO V12 = RM229
Yokohama A.Drive R1 = RM239
*
the rubber valves is very expensive!!! Alu one only RM8 (Ban Hooi quoted me last Sat)
y every one dare not try Hankook Evo V12?
feedback is very positive in AW forum and i just change mine to that...
Please refer to my previous post... Opel give a very good feedback on that tire... smile.gif

No Falken 912... the thread shoulder wear off pretty fast...

V12 have good feedback from the AW forummers...
i'm using a new set now... 1 week ++ already nice...
nice grip and also the side wall not too hard...

912 a lot of AW forummers said the shoulder thread wear off quite fast...
the side wall softer than V12 hence more comfort...

tat is wat i know la...

Well Oly... i was like you... i wen to Klang to changed my Vios tire 2 weeks ago... b4 that i survey a lot in AW and here...
in AW a lot of forumer changed to Hankook V12 and Falken 912... more comfort compare to PP2...

now 2 weeks in Hankook V12... done about 500km already... so far no problem... comfort increase compare to PP2...
haven drive fast in heavy pours until now so nothing much to comment there... but dry it handles well...
but have to get use to it as its handling not as good as PP2 as it have softer wall to give you more comfort...
my gf also like it as it is not too bumpy on humps and also even roads...

Falken 912 a lot of ppl feedback that the shoulder thread wore quite fast... mostly like amduser said that the pressure not steady...
duno what cause that...

QUOTE(amduser @ May 26 2009, 04:45 PM)
is it because they underinflated their tyres all the time? if that's the case side shoulder sure wear off faster hmm.gif yet to see the wear rate of this Ze912 on my car, so far i pump the tyres once a month, and the front pressure really drop a lot shakehead.gif
*
i think it may cause by that also... i heard from ppl Toyo T1R also... have to check pressure always as it face the same problem with Falken 912...
my PP2 sometimes check after 2 weeks only 1 PSI different or sometimes non...
but always i release 1/3 of the air inside and pump in again just to make sure the pressure is good...
how much do you pump in front and also at the back??? what car are u using?

QUOTE(windofchange @ May 26 2009, 04:53 PM)
Thanks for the feedback. So far, early reviews are good. But I heard that Korean-made tyres tend to "bulge" in the long run due to the difference of climate. Any comment on this?
*
er... so far not ppl complaint la... as amduser said most of the time it cause by something else...
or maybe they did not drive the car far a long time... this is my 1st try on Hankook also... wink.gif
last time all the way Michelin... smile.gif thumbup.gif

not Hankok fans la... but the price vs all others is cheaper...
performance wise it is comparable with Michelin PP2...
Side wall is also softer than PP2 more comfort... Falken 912 < Hankook V12 < Michelin PP2...
Price wise Hankook V12 similar with Falken 912 worth...
thread wear wise Hankook V12 do not have the Falken issue...
Falken Shoulder thread tends to wear off faster...

I used 2 set PP2 then changed to Hankook V12... just changed 2.5 weeks ago...
no complaint until now... the tire is softer so the minor bumps you will not feel like PP2...
I prefer to look and see of the tire user feedback b4 make a decision...

Handling PP2 better than V12...
Comfort V12 better than PP2...
Noise almost similar but V12 noise is a bit... just a little softer i think...

BTW this Hankook is my 1st set of tire which is not Michelin...
except stock tire of the Vios... if my dad and i have a choice sure Michelin...
but after all the feedback at AW forum... i give tat a try... smile.gif
