QUOTE(aobk84 @ Aug 22 2009, 10:25 AM)
Hi there.. my current tyre size is 185/65R15.. can I fit it with 195/55/R15 Michelin pp2?
*
cannot recommended size is 195/60 R15... i do not think that PP2 have this size...
if you want comfort with performance it is a bit thick... with that size you can try
Primacy LC (Luxury Passager)
Falken 912 (Comfort with a bit performance)

what is your driving style??? Aggressive cornering? Hard braking?
Which do you want... rank it yourself then tell us... we can help then... Comfort? Handling? Noise? which is priority?

price list from AW forum...
195/60/15
Falken ZIEX-912 - RM190 Tek Meng Sunway, 3% credit card charges
Hankook V8Rs - RM 220 @ Bridgestone Taman Desa - next to Vityas ( Mar 09)
Michelin XM1 - RM210 @ Hin Leong, Klang (Aug 09)
Michelin Primacy LC - RM250 @ Klang (Aug 09)
Hankook Blackbird V2 (H424 V8RS) - RM195.00 @ Bukit Tinggi Klang
Yokohama A.Drive (AA01) Philippines - RM190 @ Jooi Seng, Klang (Aug 09)

QUOTE(speedlau @ Aug 22 2009, 06:51 PM)
Anyone can comment on Primacy LC from Michelin ? thank you.
*
This tire falls under Luxury Passanger tires which mostly will be fitted into those ppl who want a step better than entry tires...
it give you quiet and comfort drive... occasionally you can drive in aggressive style but not for hard cornering...
as i always ask ppl what is your tire size and what is your priority? Comfort? Handling? Noise?
from this 2 that you provide we are able to give you more recommendation smile.gif

QUOTE(hasyir @ Aug 22 2009, 07:50 PM)
for 195/50/16 setting, which tyre u guys think i shud buy?
d shop recommend silverstone M5 for rm170/tyre..
*
195/50 R16... that tire ar... eeEhhh... well frankly speaking i will not recommend you to use that...
if i'm not wrong your ride is Satria Neo... that tire size is really rare... not common...
you can switch your tire size to 205/45 R16 if you don mind the ride comfort will drop...
in this range you will get more choice...

price list for the tires with comfort... which will not give you really bumpy drive...
205/45 R16
Hankook V12 Evo - RM 255 @ Jooi Seng, Klang (May 09)
Falken Ziex ZE-912 - RM245 @ Jooi Seng, Klang (May 09)

u hardly find this tire.... try 205/50 R16... that is fine also... smile.gif

205/50/R16
Falken ZIEX-912 - RM265 @ Jooi Seng Klang (Apr 2009)
Michelin Pilot Preceda 2 - RM420 @ Wangsa Maju KL (Apr 2009)
Michelin Premacy LC - RM380 @ Ban Hooi Klang (Apr 2009)
Bridgestone Potenza RE001 (japan) - RM348 @ rawang

for comfort you can try Hankook V12 for all rounder... but it is a bit noisy due to its directional thread
Falken 912 also not bad for a comfort tire... and it is budget...

that is a bit higher than Hankook V12 and Falken 912...
it is in the mid range of this 2 tires and Michs PP2/Toyo T1R/Yokies S Drive...
the performance is still unknow due to it is newly launch...
although there is a few good feedback but there aren't comfirmation yet...

BTW can you give us a review on the tires??? What is ur previous set? or any set that you have used in this size b4...

can you all please go to the tire discussion thread...
thanks... the link CheeAnn post b4... this is the price list thread...

@Bigblock,
you have 2 size... either 195/55 R15 or 195/50 R15...
with this 2... you have to choose again which categories do you want??? Handling, Comfort??? Noise is it important???
for Handling and you have $$$$ u can try Michelin PP2, Yokohama S Drive...
for budget Hankook V12, Federal 595 and Falken 912....
if you wan quiet tire Falken 912 and Michelin PP2 is ok for you....
Comfort is Hankook V12 and Falken 912...
PP2, S Drive and Federal 595 i heard is a bit hard... can give that a try if you want good good handling...

@davvycroix,
Bridgestone Potenza RE001 (japan) - RM348 @ rawang

got somebody from AW Forum bought it b4... smile.gif

Bro both if more towards comfort tire... Falken is around Rm180 if not mistaken... Yokies A Drive R1 not sure though...
Except this 2 u can try Hankook V12 if you wan directional tires... not aggressive look...
performance wise is in between of Falken 912 and Mich PP2...
912 is more towards comfort... V12 is Comfort performance... while PP2 is UHP tire
PP2 is a bit hard for you... coz of the harder sidewall.... that will give you good handling...
so Falken 912, Hankook V12 and Yokies A drive R1 will give you a lil more comfort than PP2

QUOTE(mazdagtr210 @ Aug 28 2009, 11:04 PM)
toyo 195/55/15 how much now... advan neova also
*
Toyo around RM250 if not mistaken... you can try Mich PP2 or Hankook V12 both got good review also...
very hard to find AD now i think... coz all of them are waiting for AD08... so stock of AD07 very very low now...

QUOTE(x_suncai @ Aug 29 2009, 08:45 AM)
latest price for 195/50/R15 and 185/55/R15 pleasee

need to change tyre
and have to prepare budget
Thank you
*
Fren assuming you are driving Vios or City...
can try Hankook V12 but a lil noisy due to its directional thread... RM180/pcs for 195/55 R15... they have in 195/50 R15 also... smile.gif
Falken 912 also not bad around that region also... both of this is more towards comfort performance...
if you wan good handling ones you can get 195/55 R15 or 185/55 R15 from Mich PP2, though not advisable if you are driving CT

QUOTE(vios2002 @ Aug 30 2009, 12:31 PM)
How come so hard to find Goodyear RS Sport 15" ? tyre
*
er.. you can try Hankook V12 or Mich PP2 for that size...

yes PP2 will give you good handling if you don mind the ride will become a bit harsh... coz of ur car suspension setup...
if you wan to have more comfort... Michelin Primacy, Yokohama C Drive, Yokohama A Drice R1, Toyo DRB...
all of the tires above is within the budget

or if you don mind a bit noise... you can try Hankook V12 where it is in between PP2 and those comfort tires...
but it is directional tires hence is a bit noisier than PP2...
but grip is definitely better than ur stock NCT5 and it is around RM180 (in Klang) only

us better change ur size to 205/50 R16 or 205/45 R16...
that is a very special size indeed...
but again ur fuel consumption will increase slightly..

hi there guys!

my tyres are nearing the end limit of its usage.

i'm thinking bout using yokohama parada

my current tyres are st115 azenis

so, is it better to use yokohama? the foreman told me that y-parada is around 220 per piece, where as the st115 was like 195 per piece

any opinions?
*
Well at that price... y not try Hankook V12... but sadly stock is very low in the Klang Valley...
you have to search for it... a lot of ppl giving good review... only at RM180/pc at Klang...

QUOTE(patmos @ Sep 6 2009, 11:56 PM)
Hi guys,

Going to change my tyre soon, currently running on Bridgestone Potenza G3 205/40/R17. Just wondering what tyre can u guys recommend since BS  Potenza G3 is no longer in production anymore. Looking for tyre that has got same performance as Potenza G3. Will appreciate if there's current market price as well. Thanks alot guys.

# I dont hear alot about 205/40/R17 is it difficult to find tyre in this size?
*
Hankook v12 - RM266 (with trade-in) @ Tek Ming, Sunway - July 09
it is still quite new in the market... but recieving good reviews from users including me... smile.gif
reasonably priced also compare to Yokohama S Drives and Michelin PP2...
if you are ok with Harder side wall tires you can look that 2 tires but price is on premium side...

QUOTE(touge_ke70 @ Sep 7 2009, 12:43 AM)
hi, what is the price of a set of yokohama ad07? I herd ad08 already came out. Does it come in 14"?
*
AD08 is in SG already... i do not think ppl will have AD07 stock but you can give it a try...

*
Hankook V12 Evo - RM 255 @ Jooi Seng, Klang (May 09)
Falken Ziex ZE-912 - RM245 @ Jooi Seng, Klang (May 09)

this 2 tires will suit your price range... smile.gif

QUOTE(Ya Rerd @ Sep 7 2009, 01:26 PM)
Hi guys,

I'm changing my stock Honda CT tyres this weekend. And I've decided, after hearing quite a number of good comments, on Hankook V12 Evo tyre.

I'm staying in Puchong, any good Hankook carriers there? Can anyone recommend a trustworthy and friendly tyre shop? I've heard about the shops at Klang, are they they best choice I got?
*
All Hankook V12 is very low on stock as it is quite how...
it is a UHP tires and it's performance is 90% of Michelin PP2 (UHP tires)... but priced at a very reasonable level...
If you wanna use comfort tire for your CT... you can choose either Michelin Primacy LC (around RM220/pc)...
or Falken 912 (around RM180/pc)... but this 2 tires is more towards comfort...
set your priorities... Comfort, Handling, Noise???
If noise and comfort is priority then Falken 912, Michelin Primacy, Yokohama A Drive or C Drive or the new A Drive R1...
those will fit your requirements... but if you want more performance and you can accept ur ride will become a bit harsh...
then Michelin PP2, Yokohama S Drive if your choice...
of course you have Dunlop D-01 and Bridgestone MY-01 also... but these is not a really good performance tires...
but it is ur choice to choose... smile.gif

haha... for me both equal... so v12 is for me....
what Yokies have to use... try Michelin PP2 if you don mind to pay a bit premium...
better than Hankook V12... wet can go 130~140 in highway... go thru water patch without problem... smile.gif
but it's side wall a bit hard...

Well PP2 will shine on wet but careful on corners... as you know corners in wet condition very dangerous...
but if the corner is not that sharp no problem... PP2 will go thru all water patches with ease... around 10mm deep also not a problem...
but of course u have to grab the steering la... to avoid sudden pull... so far no much problem with PP2 3 set already...

see what you want... Goodyear Eagle F1, Yokohama Advan Neova Ad07/08, Bridgestone RE001... you have to becareful on wet condition...
of course the comfortness of them is not as good as Hankook V12... coz the side wall harder...
Hankook V12 is the softest side wall of all... it will absorb the small bumps well...
ranking in terms of comfort... (Softest to Hardest) Hankook V12 then Michelin PP2 and then Bridgestone RE001/ Yokohama AD...
F1 not that sure... but in wet condition PP2 beats all of them... the hydroplaning of the tires can say is the best among those tires...

QUOTE(pokgaizai @ Sep 8 2009, 12:56 PM)
V12 seems less stock d, i go few shops ask also don hav. size 195 55 15

might look for pp2 also, RM230. pp2 can compare with RE001 or S.drive?
*
S Drive and RE 001 have harder sidewall you will feel very good on handling... but you will suffer a bit for the comfort...
V12 is the softest and Michelin PP2 is in between them... V12 will suffer a lil on handling during High Speed... 100km/h and above...
PP2 is the most quiet tire among them *when it is new...
is your choice lo... Harder side wall give you good good handling... but Softer side wall give you more comfort...
PP2 is in the middle... but if you are driving Honda's car then you have to rethink... smile.gif cos ori suspension setup is quite hard also...

no la... just give out only... Used 3 set of PP2 others just feedback from forumers...
V12 not bad also if you live at a place with a lots of bumps... using now... changed around May only...

drove my x-coll Mazda 3 fitted with S Drive b4... ride a bit harsh maybe due to the suspension setup... but good handling at high speed, tried around 170km/h...
V12 not bad... just handling slightly lose to others... coz of the softer sidewall... compare to PP2 is just 0.5 sec slower...
but still depends not hard or soft of your suspension setup at this moment...
PP2 works well with me either my SEG or Vios... but recently wanna more comfort trying V12 now...
good comfort tires... but a bit noisier than PP2 coz of Directional threaded tires...

same case with my fren... last time GY or Sime tire or Dunlop... after change to Michelin he did not look back... smile.gif
