NOTE - This is just my personal opinion on tyres within the range of RM170 - RM200. Of course if you are willing to pay more, you may get better tyres with superior performance.

P/S - Am now searching hard for shops which carries PIRELLI P7s (195/50/15) at price range within RM200 so that I can breathe easy when the lifespan of my current tyres end. Anyone whom has more information, kindly share ya...cheers!

well why not try this
Hankook V12 Evo - RM 180 @ U Tyre & Service - Hankook dealer, Tmn Universiti, JB (May'09). Incld bal + allign
yes it will be a bit noisy... a lot of good feedback on the performance... good dry and wet traction just like PP2 until this moment...
i already use 2 months... i'm using the 195/55 R15... smile.gif

QUOTE(arafat @ Jul 11 2009, 01:22 AM)

*

Hi.. Anyone here using Good Year EAGLE NCT 5?
One question i were to ask.. Does it comes with a different left wheel and right wheel thread? or one thrread for both side of the wheels?
*
who tell you that.. Vios last gen fitted with it... no such thing... u can do rotation to any wheel...
but i strongly object you to buy tat tire... for your own safety bro...
try to get Falken 912 or Hankook V12 or Michelin Primacy or Yokohama C Drive.... a lot more...
give me your wanted size... smile.gif

How about Forceum D800?
*
bro if you want a decent tire try the ones that i said...
the others.... careful on the wet...
futher more what is your tire size... then we can recommend you the suitable ones...
you prefer to have Comfort or Handling??? This will compromise the noise of the tire....
and what is your budget like...

it is not worth to buy those tire which sucks in rain... you never know wat will happen during that time...
just lke your shoes... will you buy those whom are slippery???? ask yourself... it is your life... not mine...

Michelin XM1  is very noisy. Being using it like 3.5 years like 78,000km liau, I think u must pump air every week to enable it to last long. Going got CC1 for lesser noise.
*
it you say it is noisy not until you use those lower profiles one.... haha...
bro change new one la... 3.5 yrs already harden...

i see no reasons for your change... try out Michelin Primacy or Yoko C Drive...

well Yoho C Drive is in Luxury Catergories like Mich Primacy LC...
Mich XM1 is similar with Yoko A Drive...

I had not tired C Drive and Primacy LC b4, hance i could not comment much...
I had used A Drive and XM1 b4... XM1 is softer compare to A drive...
they have good amount of comfort and cornering... of course not very aggresive ones..
Primacy LC is a new tire from Mich where it target Luxury saloon... it is towards comfort and quiet... hehe....
C Drive ok kua... but for your size of 60 series you only can choose these tires...

while Yoko S drive with Mich PP2 which in the UHP categories... both available at 55 series and below...
PP2 is slightly better in overall... it is one of the best Aquaplaning UHP tires around...
and it's side wall is slightly just just slightly softer than S Drive...
S Drive is quite noisy although it is new.. but PP2's hummings will become obvious after 50%...
Handling on both should be on par...

If you feel vibrating on the tires pls do rotation... and balancing...
if that wil not solve your problem... you better have a last try of the On Wheel Balancing...
if that did not solve the problem... make sure your ball joint and lower arm bushing is still ok...
if those things is a bit loosen it will give you that vibrating effect also...

refer to the price list S drive and PP2 is definitely out for you....
Klang shops selling PP2 at 195/55 R15 around RM230~240... where S Drive a bit more...
Primacy LC will cost around your max budget at 195/60 R15... i'm not sure about C Drive...
XM1 on tat size is only at RM200 coz i changed on my papa avanza jus on march... where i compare Primacy LC and XM1 prices...

if you really wan to convert to 195/55 R15 you can try out Hankook V12... where i'm also trying now...
it is my 1st set of Tires outside of Michelin brand...
it give you good amount of gripping in dry and wet after 3 months usage or around 7k~8k km's...
but it is slightly noisy coz it is directional tires... but it only cost about RM180/pc, i change at Klang...

think about it.... Comfort, Noise, Handling...

Mich XM1 & Yoko A Drive will give you comfort... but you can feel quite obvious body roll when you corners...
Mich Primacy LC & Yoko C Drive aimed at Luxury cars where it has harder side wall to minimized body roll...
u know lo... Luxury cars very heavy if side wall too soft it will be like swaving around the corner...
these 4 tires will not give you a very good responce on handling but you will get comfort and quietness in return...
Where as Mich PP2 and Yoko S Drive will give you good handling...
but you will have to use to the noise and ride quality will not be good in bumpy roads...
you can feel even small humps on the uneven patches of roads...
but in the UHP categories Hankook is quite good on this...
it give you slight comfort with slightly slower feedback or responce on the handling...
about 0.5 secs slower or lesser... i tried lil swaving on left and right my Vios while i'm driving about 110km/h...
but in terms of gripping b4 50% thread usage it is comparable with S Drive and PP2...
tis tire is still new hence no ppl manage to rub more than 70% yet...
Please refer to Autoworld Forum for more review on V12
cheers..

fren Klang have the cheapest tire la...

next time better rotate every 10k... and make sure you have goo pressure and do not burn ur tire always...
yeah emergency brake too offen also will cause that too...

have you try on the wheel balancing??? that is more accurate if your tire still vibrating after the normal balancing...

have you made up ur mind on which size are you getting???
195/55 R15 or 195/60 R 15
handling or comfort... hehe.... noise or comfort...
which??? comfort is the 1st priority or last one....
always ppl will arrange the priority base on... Comfort or Noise or Handling...
Mine... Handling... Comfort... Noise... of course the gripping is 1st 1st one... smile.gif

since you choose 195/55 R15... then what is the priority???? Comfort??? Handling???
if budget is ok with RM230 or RM240... then get PP2.... smile.gif S Drive is too noisy for a new tire...
if you wan budget and not bother by the directional noise... then get Hankook V12..

you can try out Hankook V12 (RM180) or the Michelin PP2 (RM230)... price from Klang shop on May...

PP2 is under Ultra High Performance cat. of course could not compare AD07 which is extreme performance...
PP2 is quite grippy...

good tires do not come cheap... and cheap tires do not come with good performance...
always there is some pros and cons...

there is a lot of good feedback for Hankook V12... directional tires...
but if you want quiet and performance... with a lil comfort... a lot ppl said GY F1 Assy is good... smile.gif
