I think SuperFrankie can be considered a playmaker? His passes are brilliant and so well timed. He has a great vision of the gameplay. You don't have to go far, just look at his consecutive records of scoring 20plus goals and 20 over assists every single season. Perhaps, he may be aging but I still think he still has alot to offer. If there's one player who could fill his shoes, it'd be Diego from Werder Bremen(or Juventus now). I was really hoping he'd come to Chelsea..

Diego??
he went to juventus already..

add photographer and bus driver to essien's amazing talents, and u have the most versatile player on the planet! laugh.gif
driver too sick to drive? don't worry essien can take the wheel. photographer just got beat up by maniacal fans? its okay essien will handle the camera. this boosts his transfer market value by 30 million at least! laugh.gif

CARLO ANCELOTTI wants Brazilian Alexandre Pato and ex-Chelsea defender Glen Johnson to kick-start his Blue revolution.

mmmm .. i agree on pato .. his pace, hes 19, used to play up front alone ..

johson .. mm .. we got a perfectly good rb at the moment .. y we shud sign him .. n johson sure know he'll b at the bench if he join chelsea .. we sold him 6m n want sign him back for 12m ..

deco, belleti,kalou will b out i tink ..

n 1 good news, Ancelotti will work with Ray Wilkins and Paul Clement as his assistants and will bring in one more Italian. biggrin.gif

Which Italian that he will be bringing? As far as I know, Milan refused to let his assistants, Tassotti and Galli to follow him. So he will be coming alone and work with the current coaching set-up (Wilkins & Clement. It's good actually, this will even hasten his improvement in English. I watched his 1st ever English interview on ChelseaTV just now and I must admit he's miles better than Big Phil.

hmm. they sound quite the same to me. but with wilkins and clement by his side, i think it would be better for carletto. scolari brought his own staff right? that might be the difference there!

we definitely need some pace down the wings to change the tide on tight games.

Terry: I want Ribery and Villa

Terry believes that the club needs players as well as a manager, and is keen to aim high, asserting that "the likes of Franck Ribery and David Villa are the kind of players we want".

wow....ribery and villa...wad a massive signing...if it succed...

Being a Chelsea supporter and a Milan fan, I too dread that CA would be chosen as the next Chelsea manager, as I don't think he has what it takes to bring out the best of the Chelsea players. Sure at Milan, he did win quite a number of domestic and european titles (Serie A, WCC, UCL, etc) but at Milan, he was Italian, while the squad was predominantly Italian (Pirlo, Nesta, Maldini, Inzaghi, Gattuso, etc) and he could communicate in his own way to such players. At Chelsea, he will speaking via an interpreter and we all know how that turned out the 1st time we had a non-English speaking coach with us, in LFS. And I must agree with plokoon that CA's english still leaves a lot to be desired judging by his ChelseaTV interview yesterday.

Having said that, the die has been cast, and contracts were signed. And all we can do is pray RA got it right this time round. Failing that, we can still get GH to return after the 2010 WC. tongue.gif

Let's give Carlo a chance. After all, we at Chelsea are accustomed to the Italian connection i.e. Zola, Vialli, Ranieri over the past decade or so.
