Well, they are now in Brickfields opposite the monorail station, near the traffic light. Not sure about their time of operation though, saw them there around 8pm-ish. Girl so desperate to give me one of those paper yelling "freefreefreefree!".

For those who got scammed like me please try to claim your money from them.
Coz i'm one of the victims who was trapped 2 months ago and SUCCESSFULLY got back my money with my bf's help... All you need is to negotiate with them along with court's threat. This post has been edited by mango_juicy: Jun 16 2011, 12:14 AM |

hey everyone, just wanted to share my experience with them today/ i lost RM30 but before i start: YOU BLOODY FLAMERS STOP CRITICIZING PEOPLE WHO WERE SCAMMED AND CALLING THEM STUPID! MANY ARE STILL NOT AWARE OF THIS AND ARE NAIVE. BUT SOME LESSONS ARE LEARNT THE HARD WAY. ARE WE IN THIS TOGETHER TO FIGHT AGAINST THIS SCAMMERS OR ARE WE GONNA JUST LAUGH AT EACH OTHER'S STUPIDITY? okay, back to my story...my gf and i were approached just opposite the KL Central Monorial station by a bunch of young chinese dudes, there were about 6 of them. they insisted that the both of us sign sort of a "petition / thank you" note. my gf signed hers, but when i opened mine, it said i won a super gift or something...and that it was either a Toyota Car or a trip to a foreign country.. they told me to follow them to their office at Taman Desa Businees Center, opposite Watson's next to a pan-mee shop. they said if i win, they will get paid RM3000 each, but i have to SCAN the number on my "winning token" to see which prize i won. there was a language barrier because they spoke Mandarin and I wasn't at all fluent with that language, so my gf acted as a interpreter. after much thought (and pestering by my gf to follow them), i complied and agreed to follow TWO them. i asked for their I/C and kept it with me just in-case (i think their I/C is fake oso). they agreed to give it to me to win my trust. (I SHOULD HAVE TAKEN DOWN THEIR NUMBERS AND NAMES) But I remembered that both guys were from Johor and born in 1993. Pitiful souls. they asked that we go up to their office, but i told them i didnt want and i requested that their "supervisor" to come down to meet at the pan mee store instead. their supervisor was some ah beng. they told me that if i win a car, they would give me the car but would not cover the 6% GST, of which i have to pay rm7000. then they went on to show me pictures of past "winners" and their cars, some certs and a picture of a "Policeman" winner. they asked for proof that i have rm7000 with me before they would scan the card and show me my prize. they said that companies do this because they want to avoid taxes and thus they will buy items and give it to the public for free. they asked that for proof, i should withdraw the money, write down the bloody serial numbers of each note on a piece of paper to show that i have rm7000. i told them i do not have that much money with me now, then one of them said that he'll even PAY for me first, which was quite an act of desperation, but very convincing. but their methods were ridiculous! writing SERIAL NUMBERS OF THE NOTES FOR PROOF!?!?!? WTF???? THEY EVEN SHOWED ME THAT SOMEONE ELSE DID THAT!! i asked them if i can show them my bank statement instead, but they said NO. Then i told them, if they didn't want to follow my methods, I am not taking the prize (which I "won"). Their "supervisor" got abit frustrated and said in Canton: "If you don't want to win, don't win la!" and pretended to walk away. This was their threatening technique. and left the 2 guys with me. After awhile he came back down. We cannot accept this kinda attitude because as "clients" we have every RIGHT to ask questions. As many as we want. It was quite a heated discussion because i could not understand their language properly and couldn't help my gf when they were talking to her in mandarin. so she had to translate to me and them. because they were conversing with her, they managed to persuade her and in turn she tried to get me to go along saying "why not? let's just try la. we will go to the bank and get the serial numbers. but we dont have to give the money to them wud. so it's still safe" THANKFULLY, i called a good friend of mine, and he found THIS THREAD! SO THANK YOU LOWYAT.COM USERS FOR SAVING ME AND MY GF! So, sensing that they could not move me anymore, they began to back down and packed their damn documents. I told them, keep the car, or give it to someone else, and i went away. the rm30 i lost was for my cab ride to Taman Desa. hope this will help others in the future. so people, keep asking questions before complying to ANYTHING, and get as much information as you can before submitting to something. cheers! Hey guys.. from my blog post about this scam ( http://www.seventh-angel.net/2009/10/05/me...esakuchai-lama/ ), it seems that so many people are still unaware about this scam.
So I decided to create a facebook page so that we can create awareness and keep people updated about this scam so that people will know about their modus operandi and they cannot get money from people anymore and then hopefully they will stop... Since we can't stop them, at least we can create awareness... http://www.facebook.com/pages/Mega-Sales-S...0961106?sk=wall This post has been edited by tokyotenshi: Jun 28 2011, 04:09 AM |

QUOTE(biew1986 @ Jan 19 2011, 11:01 PM) Guess what? It happened to me awhile ago when I was heading to KL Sentral from the monorail around 7 p.m. It was from being sweet talked by a young Chinese male teenager for winning the scratch card, going to their office at Taman Desa, meeting the lady and the boss and more sweet talks, giving them the money, to going home with the Jade Mattress and Multifunctional Sewing Machine. It was then I was waken up to reality by the taxi driver, but I was to stunned to do anything... Sure, I was skeptical the whole time, but I still got sweet talked and scammed. Now in my room having mix feelings, thinking what to do next. I want to lodge complain to police and the Tribunal Tuntutan Pengguna Malaysia after doing some internet research... What a great New Year... Lesson learned... Edit: I went to the police... since I got nothing, address, names, phone number, they can't do anything... Added on August 5, 2011, 1:30 amhi, can you tell me the company name of taman desa, above of 100 yen store right. very urgent n important. awaiting your reply. thank you. I think they lingered around the bridge to Midvalley from KTM as well.
I think I facepalm-ed one of them before. I was rushing to meet a friend in Midvalley, and this guy just passed me that leaflet above, so I just grabbed it thinking it was a flyer and continued walking. He managed to chase after me and told me to stop, and when he explained something in Mandarin, I passed the leaflet back to him and said I don't know how to speak Mandarin in Mandarin (DAMN!) and just walked off. |

Shit..i met one of these scammers today under the pasar seni lrt station.
>he approach and try to befriend me at 1st..asking simple questions such as whether i working or study. >then he ask me to tear open a voucher with the title "Super Sales" saying its for charity or something.inside i found a colored circle with the word "Super Bonus" next to it. >then he ask me to compare the color of the circle with that of his flyer.mine is a grey and in excitement he told me i got a special gift.he showed me a list of numbered prizes with the ultimate prize being a luxury car.beside the list i can see few pictures of so-called previous winners with their prizes.he told me i need to get the colored circle scanned to know what prize i will get. >he kept telling me that its an unbelievable feat as there are only 200 special gift vouchers around and that its not a scam since he will be rewarded RM3k as well.to further convince me he called up his lady superior who's in bewilderment asked me whether its really grey that i got..i replied yes and she told me to redeem my prize at taman desa. >after the phone call he asked if i got the free time to get a taxi ride to the said place and whether i have a bank account with RM1.5k bal at least..and that i have atm or credit cards or not.finding these questions suspicious i told him that my savings got blocked and am on verge of getting another one, and that i dont use credit cards also. >hearing that his buddy approach us and asked what color i got..and then appeared shocked and said its a pity if i miss this chance..they then gave me the voucher and missed call on my hp and told me to contact them asap after i get my bank account done as the offer lasts only until the end of the month..then i get away asap This post has been edited by tantalized: Oct 7 2011, 09:00 PM |
