not too sure, may be they used to speak in canto or something i got met some who can speak chinese.

anyway, there was one time when our college fren bring this to the consumer tribunal and manage to get back the money, they ask the people working there why no body arrest them? it was because they can refund, just like other company if you are not satisfied and challenge them in the consumer tribunal, if you win and they refund you, case close, they continue business. Some people actually think those stuffs they got worth the money, so we can't be telling the authority to just go and shut them down.

anyway you mentioned the 7k and car, if you don't take the car why you sign the insurance and tax? it doesn't make sense. which company offer it?

I just encountered this scam today at Bukit Bintang, right outside Fahrenheit 88. This man was giving out what I thought to be flyers...but persistent ******* said it's free blah blah blah. So I took one to be nice only to realise it's some lucky draw thingy. Ok fine, upon opening it, it's a grey/silver Super Bonus sticker and long story short, he said I won a prize and he gets commission, blah blah blah and he was very excited. The only thing he got out of it was my phone number so that he could call me when I was "free" to go claim the prize

I have to say the "flyers" were well done, but the laminated card with the prizes and all were terrible lah. I mean you can burn that ugly piece of thingy already, and you just win like that? Like hello, anything too good to be true is dodgy. I think a warning about this scam should be circulated around Facebook etc. Maybe I should have just headed to/called the police then about this man.

Also it seems I saw some "names" of some shops/restaurants being put on the laminated card?...

Shame to said that this scam still on going and my younger brother is the victim. Sending him to make a police report now. Need advise from previous unlucky person who caught under this. Thank you

My cases starts on 15 - MARCH - 2013 , in BTS [Bandar Tasik Selatan] - Bus/Train Station
I am looking for help~ Please can anyone help me?
the information I had is...
1. I won the prize : No.11 (which they call it Korea Mattress). but need to pay RM3600 in order to get it.
2. Ask me to go to ATM machine withdraw all my money. RM1.6k
3. They suggest me to sell the thing using one of their agents in Singapore
4. They say the Singapore will buy it for RM 22k.
5. They said that I needed to wait for 2 Week. Right now is 27-MARCH-2013 After reading what your guys are discussing, I believe that I just get scammed by calling the agent today
6. They didnt give me anything, they just ask me sign something on a paper( I am having the paper)
7. the content of the paper is something saying that you wont refuse to take back the money WHEN you found out the NUMBER of the Prize.
END.
So I have only 1 paper of that small evident (not even sure can be use as evident or not) is that enough ?? O_O

can I see your paper? I also sign 2 paper, but the content I didn't remember..

I only have a receipt (with their fake company name, no address and phone number)


I report to police. After that a letter send to my house.
It says that this case send to TTPM then I'm not sure if I need to go TTPM to check up with them?

It happened to me too. I saw these guys. I stopped them from talking to me but they seems like want to fight with Cantonese words. Whereas I speak to him in English.

i filled a tribunal claims againts them but i was unable to get their signatures ...

Just kena today. Almost believed... and then realised it was a scam.. walked out of there.. close call.

Won't give out too much details as they may have some of my personal info.
