If there's one thing that I would change about my approach to weight loss, it will be that ALL of my cardio should be done with higher intensity. I got it right with my 3x/week tempo run at 85% and lost around 5kg in 3 months. Then I started to want to run longer - the intensity decreases and I gained some weight back and kept wondering how come as I'm becoming a better long distance runner, I'm getting fatter in the process as well!
Currently I'm mixing sprints, long runs, medium long runs, tempo runs, weight training and circut training. My main goal is still to train to run for the marathon - with or without weight loss. I was lucky enough to discover that my sprint training actually does both - helps with my stamina termendously and burns some serious calories in the process. Rawr

I am still in the learning process la, not much swimming, doing a lot of fool stuff to feel the water. If you get what i mean.. Still dont know why my breaststroke kick still so weak after all, swim slower than an uncle next lane to me..
Still learning how to breath properly in my freestyle
Btw I dont really feel comfortable swimming backstroke and butterfly in a public pool, everyone might be looking at you, backstroke risk of head on collision with someone
Skylive - Did you just overwork your muscle? It would recover in a couple of days.......I did the same while doing running....calf muscle, it recover in 2-3days time...otherwise need to consult expert.
It's a very light strain, dont worry bout it, i forgot to breath when i do my freestyle lolx
1) same portion of food as before (perhaps a good thing), i still eat a lot like last time. Just that choice of food have changed.
2) Unable to wake up early enough for breakfast, most likely it's a brunch around 11.
3) Lack of stamina, almost impossible to do HIIT, my energy and breath quickly runs out and unable to replenish within the interval..

Went to the gym at 11:30am today, came out 2hrs after. Same ol cardio n some explosive training. Reached a new sprint record today - 30secs of 13.6km/h. Rawr
actually during the 30 days challenge i spent less time studying but seems to memorise better, maybe feeling more fresh? lolx
