Today is 16th so who think tmr 17th our connection will back to normal ? For me i bet nope cos yesterday screamyx called me regarding my complaint for frequent dc ( to skmmc
) and i asked him abt he connection he told its fixed already last 2 days LOL . Mayb they'll just announced its fixed and we'll have to bear with these speed forever lol GG . |

well actually i got some insider info that tm is deploying fibre optics to replace their existing cables.
it's to support the so called rumours that they going to provide 100mbps service in 2015... but i can't comment more on that  |

However the map give you a glimpse on the redundancy of network connectivity. For example, if there is only one cable from Malaysia to country X, then anything happen to that cable will drastically reduce bandwidth capacity to country X. |

I too have mentioned a few times in my previous posts about TM upgrading their infrastructure to fiber. Also upgrading from DSLAMs to IP-DSLAMs. I think fiber will only be up to the exchanges for now. Then later copper lines to our houses will be replaced by fiber (FTTH). As I said before, these are major upgrades which takes time. Suddenly i got a feeling that actually when they " shutdown " our international connection at 1st ( 1th April ) they actually not planning to " reopen " it for us . Mayb its their way of saving cost and accepting more subscriber to earn more $$$ ( Cos it prove that we cant do anything abt it ) .
If really true u need to complaint and bug them for few days then ur line will be back to normal like b4 then this probably is what they r planning now ....... ohhoohohhoho we r doom . |

u are lucky..my girlfriend acct totaly cant login,even correct password, and reset the password afraid conflict or corrupt password..
i scare the server down affected the password and user storage...damn shit... how come they so bad...really suck...Korea,HK etc,,pay certain amount can use the internet at hp,house check and receive mail etc.. for us..limited on it..so call best then other country..still long way to catch up.. |

I started getting a very fed up problem for 2 consecutive days,
I live in Batu Pahat, Johor. At night around 7.40-8pm, my internet speed will suddenly plump down to close to zero (google pings can turn from 70ms to request timed out), and it won't recover until like now (that's why I can surf in lowyat). During the "downtime", I can surf NONE of the websites, they all get timed out. Even with 60.54 pings (which is the fastest for my area). Screw it. Our broadband technology is left behind 20 years than korea, japan us and europe and i really don't get why we have first class facilties but internet technology is outdated. I'm totaly sick of streamyx. I've been to japan korea us and europe and they internet speed is very damn fast....and for example downloading FULL HD ( Bluray Movie) with 25 GB of contents took less than 2 hours and the line is never lag...but with streamyx it took more than 2 week to complete or maybe even more.

Yeah! the transfer rate is between 8MB/S to 12MB/S using premium download service like RS,MU,DF and much more. It wont spoil the hdd if u use a good hdd.

So is everything back to normal for everyone ? I dun bother to check cos my net mainly used for gaming ( WOW ) and i'm using tunneling now ( cant imagine wow without tunneling ..... ) But i feel browsing kinda slow but dl speed back to norm getting ard 80kbps on 1mb line for normal bt dl .

Celcom broadband hv limit and streamyx also got problem. Next problem is server crash due to too many complain email.
