u can always walk out frm d campus or hostel n you'll find d bus stand. It's quite convenient. d Bus Terminal is @Batu Pahat Town. But then usually it's hard to get buses after 6pm if u wanna go back frm BP to UTHM. So we usually take taxis. But still lets say u wanna go Town from UTHM at nite u'll stil able to stop bus1 la. Not to worry so much yo

dat url frm kevinlim001 did mention about d "mistake" frm uthm. I admit it's really a negligence which can be avoided. But ppl do learn frm mistakes. like d latest usm case regarding d "technical problem" which is a big mistake2. Still usm is a very good institution under apex status. Same here, i believe uthm is 1 good institution2.

waste money summore.....

Your mindset is very very narrow down, typical Malaysian kampung lah i presume. Nowdays Private U like MMU, Uniten, UTP, IMU, UNIKL and others offered very high education quality and updated from time to time compared to IPTA. IPTA nowdays not like the old days, their quality is reduce dramatically. Don't u see the statistic of the largest penganggur is come from IPTA, it is like 1:5. The graduates produced not so competent either.

ini salah.the fees is not 3-4 times more, but 10-12 times more compared to public uni.also public uni has some of the best lecturers.they have years of experience in each of their fields.

According to whom?, most of the experienced lecturers from IPTA already gone to Private U because of better offer/salary and employment. Public U can only offer small of salary range to their staff + the benefits. IPTA lecturer not all good, and less having an industry experience.

Could you please clarify further regarding the salary issue? it's stated that the tuition fee is RM12k in total/year. but theyre paying the subsidized fee which is ard RM1.4k...the gov still pump in money into local uni right?

ok...currently im studying in uniten, this is what i can share with u.

uthm is actually a good institution, before i went to uniten, i applied upu, choose utm and uthm.... but dint get... i just go to uniten.. because i dint get upu and jpa...

in uniten, the quality is there , and yes i can say uniten produce a lot of professionals every year...

but we must know the fees is higher than public universities.

about the lecturers, uniten has a number of well known lecturers
uniten to midvalley about 30 minutes
...

well frm kobehua's post.. i don c it as wasting money if investing in education.

on 2nd thought, higher unemployment rate frm IPTAs is indeed a fact but it doesn't prove that IPTAs produce every pea brains.

well so as privates. Not all private U lecturers r professionals. Speaking of experience solely is not enough. It's d QUALITY of the lecturers in transfering education to the young ones dat matter.

aya ini mesti igt fees/etc etc payment mahal therefore staffs oso get more bucks tongue.gif ...men what a gullible thought.masuk private u dulu selidik2 dulu.lets say u have been there, get to know your lecturers more then just sucking about grades/tips bla bla.

ok salary issue, for one public u is gov funded, i.e their salaries is subsidiesed.

they get better pay packet, benefits, flexible teaching time, flexible RnD time(ini kalau x tau sila la google malas mau explain tongue.gif ), flexible fyp students per lecturer must supervise, and less stressfull working enviroment since most public u's have "faculties"(this one oso if you paham....u paham la x paham nnt i terang wakaka brows.gif )

bingo, main pt between a professional and a lecturer.i like u lust.gif . and its a fact that most public u lecturers are educators not just engineers taken from the field.

lastly all the pts above im talking in a stand point of "uniten" compared to public U's only k bkn private college/u lain2.so dont get the wrong idea im generalizing all the private sector of education smile.gif
