hey all taikos
I'm looking forward to buy a passanger cum goods carrying vehicle like this exora.

Looking into this model:
Proton Exora MC 1.6 M/T M-Line ( Metallic / WM )

will manual tranmission give more juice compare to AT?

Should be, since power loss for MT is less than AT.

Anyway, Exora owner are invited to join us in the CPS thread. More active member there. nod.gif

hi all. i have 2 questions.

1. what is the wide of the rim and offset?
2. is there a multidisplay on dashboard on your petrol usage during driving, like in continental cars, for example 6.2L/100km during highway driving?

thanks !!

Just drove a friend Exora Manual, i find the gear very hard to change , have to use force to whack the gear stick especially from gear 1 to 2.
my friend have the same complain, he said the force needed in gear shifting it like driving a lorry/van . it is normal for exora ?

Mind telling me how bad it will be? Coz I scare later the temp raise then I jialat. And it's a rented car. If really cannot, I might go for innova by paying a bit more

I used my exora auto 2x this year to genting. both times went all the way up to theme park a few time because stay at awana hotel and sometime go down to gotongjaya for meals.

3 adults and 3 kids (2 big size kids) . All the way using 'D' only. under power definately but perform same like my wife's 1.3L auto Myvi. Slow but perform better when switch off air corn. I tried to use 3rd gear but very noisy when we go faster so I just left it at D all the way.

Only issue is that the gear keep downshift if you press the petrol pedal hard when the mpv is slow so the gear keep making loud noise because it shift to 3rd gear.

From my experience, I went in a Innova last year. Only 3 adults. only a little better because the gear don't auto downshift to many times. Still slow/under power. maybe innova is heavy eventhough it is 2L.

I think mpv should be at least 2.3L to carry 6 or 7 people. My sister's grandis 2.3L very powerful. No problem going up. Just like riding a 2L car.

like you said, grandis is RM130k. It better be more comfortable. The seats are more thick/plush, sound proofing better, has reverse camera and I think the new model has keyless entry.
