Simple - cheap and pride.

In maybe true that its quality is below of the other brands like Toyota.
But back in your father or grandfacther days, you know what did they said about Japanese cars?

Why is Malaysia is taking so long to improve, you may ask?
Look around you, we have youngster who prefer to be Mat Rempit/Bohsia/Lepak and etc.
We have many Bangla/Indon in our country because our own people productivity are so low.

We have a people issue here, not just Proton. We need to get the younger generation to be involved in out country fundamentals.
