okok cool!!! if thats the case i'll use the Nokia Email then. if i were to use the normal email, it cannot auto retrieve windows live mail. it only allows us to synchronise... ehhehe

How to stop Garmin Mobile XT from draining your Mobile Phone’s battery.

If you have just installed Garmin Mobile XT version 5.0.0.20 on your Mobile Phone (So far only verified on my Nokia E71 running Symbian OS), you may have notice that your battery life for you mobile phone seems to have reduce substantially from about 2 days before the installation to about 1 day.

This it seem is due to a background process that Garmin Mobile XT starts upon boot up of your Symbian operating system as well as upon running of the Mobile XT software.

hi bro,

now i'm quite confused. hehehe, so the @setup email at the home screen, this is just a normal email application where you can set the time interval for it to retrieve your email right?

whereas the Nokia Email, it's like a blackberry which provides push email. you sign-up and then you specify your email accounts and it will automatically push the e-mail to you whenever theres a new email. correct?

so for this Nokia Email, what are the charges? issit still using the data plan?

because i read from the FAQ.

" How much does Nokia Messaging cost?
Nokia Messaging is currently provided on a trial basis. In the future, consumers will be able to acquire Nokia Messaging through an operator plan. You may incur charges in connection with the transfer and receipt of data to your mobile phone and may not be included in your flat data rate plan. Please contact your operator to know how much you will be charged."

it says that the transfer and receipt of data may not be included in our flat data rate plan. this is what i'm afraid. that i'm paying unlimited data already, but then for this push mail service, it's not using the data plan and then i have to incur addition cost......wahhh...
*
The statement is due to plans in the future for operators to have the option in providing data and email data separately. Which means, data for normal web browsing, and email data for just email. This is in my opinion just another way for operators to make more money.

Or it could be that some people do not want to go for full data plan, just go for a cheaper email data plan.

Traffic is most likely filtered thru the port connections.

If I'm not mistaken, Singtel has announced something like Nokia Messaging package.
