Another question, how can we set a program from autostart??? My frings tend to autostart everytime i restart the phone...

Go to Frings > Option > Settings > Personalize > Autostart > Disable


But theres 1 problem I encounter with Frings..here's the story:-

my Frings has MSN list...its working fine! Therefore, I also added GTalk as well..it also worked fine!

But when I log in back the next time, GTalk's list will not appear...I have to unsubscribe & subscribe it back again..EVERY TIME!

Anyone here using Fring with more than 1 chat list?

Also I cant set my status like conventional chats

i've gone through the whole thread and i've not found any info related to the charges for using Nokia Messaging push mail service. i went to email.nokia.com and they say it's accordance to provider.

my question is, if i were to sign up for the nokia messaging service, whenever a mail gets pushed to my handphone. will maxis charge me as data charges? or a seperate charge? because i have unlimited data plan.

Very easy to setup it up. U see on your E71 main screen stated there EMAIL u just follow the instruction.

I did it in 10 mins. If u have unlimited data plan there wont be any additional charges there.

No bro! No worries if ur on Data Unlimited...I'm using Nokia Email wif Data Unlimited using EDGE Digi. I received mails non-stop..more than my sms ....if ur not on Data Unlimited plan therefore, u can set it to every 15mins or so, in order for the auto retrieve mails. Ive set up my Gmail, Hotmail & Yahoo..there all working fine..& the best thing is..its so simple to setup!!!

I've been using it since day one. I've called up Nokia & Digi to find out. Theres no hidden charges ...just data plan charges!

Here, try this..its even better than the one on the main screen. Its a Intellisync Email application..that works just like Blackberry!!!

The main screen wan I'm using that for my office Mail Exchange. I have a total of 4 mails - Office mail, Gmail, Hotmail & Yahoo..all auto retrieving!

now i'm quite confused. hehehe, so the @setup email at the home screen, this is just a normal email application where you can set the time interval for it to retrieve your email right?

whereas the Nokia Email, it's like a blackberry which provides push email. you sign-up and then you specify your email accounts and it will automatically push the e-mail to you whenever theres a new email. correct?

so for this Nokia Email, what are the charges? issit still using the data plan?

because i read from the FAQ.

" How much does Nokia Messaging cost?
Nokia Messaging is currently provided on a trial basis. In the future, consumers will be able to acquire Nokia Messaging through an operator plan. You may incur charges in connection with the transfer and receipt of data to your mobile phone and may not be included in your flat data rate plan. Please contact your operator to know how much you will be charged."

it says that the transfer and receipt of data may not be included in our flat data rate plan. this is what i'm afraid. that i'm paying unlimited data already, but then for this push mail service, it's not using the data plan and then i have to incur addition cost......wahhh...

Yes u are right! But not too sure about the email @ home screen..as I know, it will work best for Mail Exchange (POP) & Nokia Email will work well with IMAP type..which are Gmails, Hotmails & etc.

All of them are based on Data Plan..no worries! Just relax & setup ur Nokia Email

Its up to you whether u wan it like Blackberry or manual retrieve! Its customizable!

hav u try ebuddy? almost same as fring but lack the skype though.. but i still prefer it toward fring.. hehehe.. using ebuddy, u can personalize ur status and pic from the phone and can hav multiple user online on the same time.. i hav mine ym and msn online on the same time.. hehehe..
