my garmin is working! the problem is.. i deleted all the maxis wap,3g,edge settings.. so cannot connect to satalite.

i go to the phone shop, the guy ask why delete all the setting, he set for me nice nice.. haha. Then he set back for me, i can use ad. He say, everytime i connect to satellite, use 4cent . true?

U can save the 4 cents by disable your AGPS =)

Tools>Settings>General>Positioning>Positioning Methods
Correct me if I am wrong

By the way, I would like to ask everytime you connect your precious E71 to PC with Nokia PC Suite...how you guys remove the cable after finish everything?
Is there a standard method to disconnect your E71 with PC Suite???

depends on you. For me i just pull of the cable. Alot of ppl mindset still say need to safely remove. The windows inside setting already enable cache so actually u can just pull out.

And yes you are right Only enable Integrated GPS the rest all untick.

Pros = FREE
Cons = Very slow locktime to satelitte

depends 4 - 10cents to retrieve the satellite location from satellite. If your place signal bad even with location it still cant lock. Thats why its call A-gps = Assist GPS

4 cent for each tower lock on.. So when u r movin u r bound to chg ur position so it may cost up to a few cent lor.. Not much also la..
As for removin ur e71 from pc ..i jus plug out nia.. But if u notice la.. Using jbaktaskman u will find usb something somerhing running in the background after u unplug ur e71 from pc.. So more memory usage used.. Jus tat nia lor..

If every tower 4cents a person can go backrupt le. when the GPS signal gets weak so it request for the satellite position again. If the place you are located have good signal it will keep retrieving for the position

was at mid valley just now...Blackberry had a road show, ArGGgg !!!

as for the a-gps, just keep it on ler...doesn't cost much. ask urself, how often you use ur GPS? ur not gonna use it everyday rite? few cents each time only ler.

but then i'm on unlimited data plan so i really don't know whats the exact amount if you were to keep agps on. i'm assuming it's worth it ler.

if u are on unlimited = cost ZERO because already absorb by data plan.

you count la a week 50cent example 1 time u use a week X4 weeks = RM2. Most ppl here are student RM1 for their partner is cheap if other expenses they consider expensive

tis is the total kb of each agps lock on.. while u r static.. while navigating.. i not sure whether it will increase or not.. but according to this blogger he said:"I also checked that whilst in the same phone cell, no matter how many times, you use it, there is not additional data usage only onces. So I believe, if you had AGPS turned on whilst navigating, each time, you travelled from one cell to another and there is a need to lock on to a new cell, there would be a data exchange"
while the cost may range from 20 cent to ~~~
