Genting should fly because:

HONG KONG: Star Cruises Ltd, Asia's biggest cruise operator, surged up to a record 65 per cent in Hong Kong trade after China said it will allow cruise tours from the mainland to Taiwan to stop by in the city.

Its shares rose as much as 53 Hong Kong cents to HK$1.35, the most since being listed in Hong Kong in 2000, and traded at HK$1.18 as of 2.35pm local time. That boosted the stock's gains for this year to 97 per cent, compared with a 10 per cent climb for the Hang Seng Index.

However, Star Cruises shares fell back to close 43 per cent higher or rising 35 Hong Kong cents to HK$1.17 (HK$100 = RM46.83), the most since being listed in Hong Kong in 2000.

After meeting with China's Premier Wen Jiabao, Hong Kong's Chief Executive Donald Tsang said April 18 in a press briefing at the Boao forum on Hainan Island that China will allow cruise tours from mainland ports to stop at Hong Kong en route to Taiwan. Star Cruises said in November it plans to begin a service between Taiwan and China by the end of the first quarter of 2009.

The Singapore-traded shares of Star Cruises rose 26 per cent to 14.50 cents, the most in two years.

The cruise operator said it isn't aware of the reasons for the increases in price and trading volume. - Bloomberg

Seems like overall market sentiment quite bad. I thought Star Cruise will make Genting and Resort go higher... Looks like I'm wrong...

market volume is not convincing yet for climbing up.
