Dun understand this market. Everywhere company showing losses, inventory goes south, commodity price plunged, property market dive. Japan key data show weakness from previous period, YET KLCI holding steady, up almost 70 points off low 5 weeks back.

QUOTE(lsmpro80 @ Apr 14 2009, 11:42 PM) you got to be kidding me .. going down further ? looks like dying.. Is this company doing absolutely right? - Short term weakness could be expected given the recent 20%Added on April 14, 2009, 11:43 pmas far as i know there is already a "jump off cliff" from 2.5 to 1.85... and tomorrow going to continue jump off again ? AdamG(any updates) uptick from the low as well as the larger than expected share issue; - No official guidance on the time line from the current announcement but based on recent telecon, management is looking for end 2Q09 for closure. - Renounceable rights on a 5:4 basis with an issuance of 4.7 billion new shares. Post rights, total share outstanding to balloon to nearly 8.5 billion shares versus 3.8 billion earlier; Big volume, hard to move. Like Maybank post Right issues - drop a lot, no? 408 --> 3.86? |

QUOTE(whizzer @ Apr 15 2009, 12:10 AM) giving the overall market sentiment is still weak, plus with help of DJIA, we can see RED. I'm picking up at low price, and averaging all the way if reverse trend happens.Added on April 15, 2009, 12:23 am QUOTE(lklatmy @ Apr 15 2009, 12:20 AM) The reference price tomorrow for Axiata will be 1.77,viz today's closing price. so, based on your best guess/estimate, what will be the price for tom? The reference price tomorrow for Axiata OR will be 1.77 less 1.12,viz 65 sen. But I believe both will be trading at a lower price due to selling pressure on the first day listing of the OR. AXIATA-OR will be around 58-62 AXIATA will be around 145-160? This post has been edited by zamans98: Apr 15 2009, 12:23 AM |

QUOTE(whizzer @ Apr 15 2009, 11:23 AM) I think the pricing is a moving target dependent on the movement of the mothershare. However, if you buy the OR at 0.59 then suddenly the mothershare drop below 1.71 ? The OR seems to play like a warrant. Have to consider the leverage factor. yes, well understood the situation. That's why I prefer to get mother than daughter share.Q @ 1.70 - 100 lots. Let see if its hitting that low for today. |

QUOTE(elhh82 @ Apr 15 2009, 11:33 AM) the 5 to 4 is applied to how many rights you will get, if you are holding Axiata shares before the ex-date on 10 Apr. U get 5 OR for 4 mother. or if you do not hold anything yet prior to today, the following is correct :I think since there is no mention of any conversion ratio. We can assume that, when you are holding the OR, you will be able to buy 1 Axiata share at RM1.12 for each OR you hold. Buy OR say now at 0.58, add another 1.12 (plus fees) to convert to mothershare.
