many changes in new firmware

Hi all,

I got my blue tube (AP) yesterday, everything was fine and it came with many european languages and also chinese simplified, later at night i did an update for the latest firmware from V10XX to V20XX. Successfully updated, but now the phone has only 2 languages, english and portorguse.. No more chinese!! This is really unthinkable, Im in misery now, Can somebody solve this issue??

Added on April 14, 2009, 12:27 pmyeah.. the auto rotate is not working when we pswd locked the fon.. sometime to unlock the fon we have to rotate the fon itself...

I think he update the wrong region firmware..

You need to change ur product code to Asia Pacific first thn only update ur firmware.

Any idea how to change the icon in sygic to a car from the default pointer? Used the software today, the 3d imaging is great. But as you said, it lacks POIs.

haha.. that's the main purpose... if u wanna choose venue.. u dotn get to choose the time... select base on ur preference.. u wan choose date or cchose venue...

I installed too, basically it it more faster than GMXT but one thing where you all download latest map for M'sia? or other region?

POI also seen quite lack

But it interface and response is much more better than GMXT.

I'm not happy with the normal Skool screen protector. Really a lot of fingerprints =.= If I want to change to the anti-fingerprint one how ar? Need to peel off the normal one or can just put over the normal protector? I scared if put over the normal one...might affect the touch screen sensitivity.

zzz.sure is peel off the current one and replce it with a new 1.....mind u something,the anti fingerprint sp wil not be that smooth coz of the materials used

If u wan to have Chinese language...(APAC Region)
Then u need to make sure ur product code is Apac region.

1. Download Nemesis Service Suite Beta 1.0.38.14 (zip file, 6.3 MB).
2. Install it...During the installation pick Virtual USB Device from the Hardware Selection page.
3. Find 5800's APAC region product code (at internet or get the product code from ORI set in M'sia or sg.)
4. Open Nemesis Service Suite and click on Scan for new device in the upper right section of the application window.
5. Click on the Phone Info icon.
6. Click Scan in the middle of the application window.
7. Enter ur new product code in the Product Code text box. Click the Enable check box. Click Write to change your phone's product code.

8. Close the Nemesis Service Suite and open Nokia Software Updater application to update the firmware.

*If ur 5800 is ORI, thn ur product code is APAC Region pc. So, no need to change..juz straight away update by Nokia software updater. As for AP set, I'm not sure...some r Apac region product code but some not. Oh ya, dun forget change back to ur original product code ya coz it might void ur phone warranty.
