We had a prospective Taiwanese tenant a couple of years ago who was very happy with the apartment he viewed except for the 'house number'. It was evident when he stood at the front door before he even entered and gazed at the wooden plaque seriously. He was looking for a '4', saying it's his lucky number. It seemed that he made sure that his car, his house, his business address in Taiwan all have the number '4' as the dominant figure.

An exception to the rule perhaps but then .....
