You can try checking out Zalman CNPS8700 LED or the SST NT05 CPU cooler, I'm planning to get one zalman soon, but didnt have the time to buy it and fix it yet. My current stock AMD HSF noise is killing me during high CPU load, running at 5~6k Rpm even someone else can hear it few rooms away.

Other than that I'm still having a hard time managing the cables to make it sleek eversince switching from Q6600 to the X6 1055T, but what the heck, as long it's running fine and i can care less for now.

Btw, community aint dead yet due to smaller users compare to the usual ATX/ATX+ platforms. Also there's nothing much happenning in the SFF market sections other than the Silverstone luxury good looking tong sampah design. But thats my personal speculation. tongue.gif

Could owners of Silverstone SG03 help me in choosing a rear fan exhaust option/workaround since if to plonk a Gigabyte ATI HD6850 and a sound card leaves me no room for a PCI expansion exhaust fan. Any ideas?

Added on April 30, 2011, 4:16 amOr recommend a bit larger case with a 120mm fan rear slot. (The Thermaltake Armor looks good, but N/A around M'sia right?)

Added on April 30, 2011, 4:31 amI just noticed something. The specs for Silverstone SG03 says there are 5 PCI expansion slots. But I only count 4 that directly interfaces with the mobo. And looking back at some SG03 pictures and the Silverstone SG03 manual, there might be what appears to be a PCI slot at the very top, quite suitable for the fan exhaust option. Can any SG03 owners confirm that it is a mountable PCI slot, and size/space clearances if they can guesstimate?

5 pcie slots, 4 at the bottom for PCI purpose and the top is either for cooling or fan controllers. I use that for exhaust by using a PCI FAN, you can take a look at the Fox 1 cooler . Originally the fan is facing upwards, you can just dismantle it and change the direction to draw hot airs from the mosfet/cpu area out.

http://www.evercool.com.tw/products/sb_f1.htm

As for the GPU, im not sure what PCI fan can help coz i've tried a few and noticed it's still better to use the FX-121 crossflow fan between the gpu and the cpu, big thing is its hard to come by that model coz i heard its part of the EOL line. Well, do some experiments with two PCI fans, see which results suits best and remember not to buy those RM5 PCI fans, they're not strong enough and might die faster in the long run.

********************

Also, forgot to mention, do include two high-perf 120mm fan at the front for air intake. It sure helps cool things down especially with high end GPUs/CPUs.

Thanks! Yeah, I figure with 2 x 120mm fans in front, the top PCI slot occupied with a FOX-2, or even a FOX-1 might be enough for cooling purposes. Though I wonder if I should use 1 high-rpm switch-controlled 120mm fan and another rpm-noise compromise 120mm fan, instead of 2 rpm-noise compromise 120mm fans.

Added on May 3, 2011, 10:48 pmOn the FX121 crossflow fan, I'm not too fond of it, since crossflows are quite susceptible to dust build up and majorly hard to clean (I own a Vantec HDD crossflow cooler), and it gets loud when it starts to end-life. Not too mention hard to replace.

Added on May 3, 2011, 11:04 pmCurrently, in terms of looks, volume, space, features, availability, the Silverstone SG03 seems to fit my bill. Does anyone else have any recommendations alng the lines of the SG03?

True on the crossflow fan part, its hard to come by.

Other than the SG03, u can take a look on the XQ Box cuz i used to own one until i sold it away within a week, due to the clearance issue i had with the coolermaster modular PSU. Its a good casing though, very good for LAN party usage.

Personal advice though, if you are really into getting SG03 for the long run, get the alu version instead of the normal steel version, its worth for what you pay. The steel version is kinda...looks like badly build with tight time schedule in the factory.

Yeah, the XQBox does look good for more ease of transport. But the single 120mm fan rear, and the fact that the 80mm fan does not flow over the HDDs concern me. Ambient temperatures back home being what it is, more prudent to get IMHO a better air-flow case. Unless I put a desktop 'kipas' full blast on the XQBox! smile.gif

If not mistaken either one is under 200. Like most people here I'd say go with Elite 360. Review is here

For HFS I'd go with this:
