Ah.

The reference pair of headphone I assume? It was tested with the HD580 primarily.

It generally generates a smooth, slight warm sound signature, with a musical presentation to it. Significantly, soundstage depth and width is very much improved, especially what we can see by pairing the Secret Amp with the Grados/Alessandros. Just so that you know too, it can push up to 600ohm, has two modes of playback (one gives a more aggressive, fast attack and the other more warmth, smooth), a hardware crossfeed and optimized charging capabilities, in which the circuitry is made to optimize battery charging for long hours. (aka put in the charger, leave it there for 24/7)

I really like the Secret Amp, no regret, simply awesome for such a highly portable amp! However, my preference might be difference from others. So far, I actually prefer low gain with secret switch off and with the crossfeed turned to minimum for both of my very efficient headphones. I don't have high impedance headphones to try the secret switch and crossfeed yet, so, I can't comment that I prefer the secret amp with high gain and with the secret switch on nor playing with the crossfeed. However, with everything turned off, I really thrilled with the performance and the purity of this tiny beast, simply awesome! rclxms.gif rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

Bro pcwork, I will be calling you bloody regular till I find an Ipod 4G and modded into pcmod. drool.gif drool.gif drool.gif drool.gif

Wow! I never have a clue that this was made in Malaysia, the high cosmetic build suggest that it is from the states like other headamp. Congrats!

I'm currently looking for a portable amp as well to drive my K701, AHD2000, E500, Koss KSC75/PortaPro/SportaPro. Does this amp have the synergy with my rig?

When I am back from my hometown we could meet for an audit. biggrin.gif
For all I know, the KSC75 sounds darn good on the Secret Amp. Hmm.. Hopefully next week I can grab my recabled KSC75 then see how far the difference is. biggrin.gif

PS: PcWork, if yuheng drops by your place before I grab the KSC75 you can pass it to him too. smile.gif Cause I'll most likely drop by yuheng's place next weekend also. Hehe.

Hi
srry for all of the delayed.
we been using most of the brand for reference when we built the amp.
The sound tuning parts was processed for more than 5 months.
it paired extremely well with all of the middle range headphone. like Ms2i,HD650,DT990, also some higher range headphone, like Darth beyer.

we been using Sennheiser, Beyer, Audio Technica, Alresandro AKG for headphone signature tuning.
as for IEM, we been using UE, Westone, Crossroads, Ety, kplisch, Jays, and etc.

there is no reference amp being used as comparison, coz as far as we are concerned, the amp sound better than / on par with any amp when we are comparing with other amp.

We been compared with The Hornett, Xin Reference, Iqubes, Pico and predators...and etc.
As for its special point, it have a signatures switchers, where u can get both signatures within the amp.
Also, the amp is pushable from 16phm to 600 ohm. biggrin.gif

I hope my reply answer ur question. Thanks biggrin.gif

i not sure either my pk1 is burned in or not.
however. channel separation and soundstage still a step better than pk2.
but pk2 is much forward. everythings slam in your face type. good for blasting some music.
