QUOTE(Akabane@DrJackel @ May 20 2009, 01:01 AM) tried the Secret Amp, already order 1 from bro Yuheng, it is indeed an extremely poisoning device. Just looking at the casing and options of switches I already got some poison. Then, when I put on my earphones without the Secret switch turn on, the poison in my body has gone deeper, then when bro turn the Secret switch on, walau, that is how bro Yuheng do the poisoning trick, I was seriously poisoned! Poison from top to toe, ke ke ke. Next week got to chase bro yuheng for my new amp already, ke ke ke. |

I really like the Secret Amp, no regret, simply awesome for such a highly portable amp! However, my preference might be difference from others. So far, I actually prefer low gain with secret switch off and with the crossfeed turned to minimum for both of my very efficient headphones. I don't have high impedance headphones to try the secret switch and crossfeed yet, so, I can't comment that I prefer the secret amp with high gain and with the secret switch on nor playing with the crossfeed. However, with everything turned off, I really thrilled with the performance and the purity of this tiny beast, simply awesome!
Bro pcwork, I will be calling you bloody regular till I find an Ipod 4G and modded into pcmod. |

QUOTE(yuheng @ Jun 13 2009, 01:05 AM) Hi whoever have enough experience auditing what sounds nice and what sounds bad, will definitely find that Secret Amp is really a good sounding amp! Just try it, and you will know...........srry for all of the delayed. we been using most of the brand for reference when we built the amp. The sound tuning parts was processed for more than 5 months. it paired extremely well with all of the middle range headphone. like Ms2i,HD650,DT990, also some higher range headphone, like Darth beyer. we been using Sennheiser, Beyer, Audio Technica, Alresandro AKG for headphone signature tuning. as for IEM, we been using UE, Westone, Crossroads, Ety, kplisch, Jays, and etc. there is no reference amp being used as comparison, coz as far as we are concerned, the amp sound better than / on par with any amp when we are comparing with other amp. We been compared with The Hornett, Xin Reference, Iqubes, Pico and predators...and etc. As for its special point, it have a signatures switchers, where u can get both signatures within the amp. Also, the amp is pushable from 16phm to 600 ohm. I hope my reply answer ur question. Thanks |

QUOTE(duh2k @ Jun 14 2009, 09:36 PM) I recently had the opportunity to audition the secret amp I agree with what you say to, it is really refine, and I personally find everything turn off with low gain is best for my Livewires and MS1, but when I want it aggressive, the secret switch and the crossfeed is there ready to play with.Paired it with my Ms-2's and my oh my....they really sang My impressions are that the Secret Amp has fantastic detail and separation and it really focuses on vocals Add in the secret switch and crossfeed functions, it's just icing on a very delicious cake Last but not least, many many thanks to yuheng for letting me go over to his place and listen to his secret amp DISCLAIMER: All views above are from a noob head-fi guy and your mileage may vary |
