u mean off campus accommodation? Hostel is of course way cheaper then the apartments. Roommate its up to the management, unless you have a friend or someone you know willing to stay with you, you can request a room for the both of you

quite ok, there are cleaners to clean the corridor & toilet almost everyday.

if u r going to MMU cyberjaya i suggest u stay in hostel for your 1st year. during the 1st year can know friends / classmate and investigate the enviroment n options available, from there u choose your housemates that preferably same course / same timetable as urs so it is easier to go class together and go home together.

my own experience is that i stay in MMU cyber hostel for 10 months+ then move to cyberia condominium with my coursemates the rest of my 3 years+. it is easy n fun since i get to choose friends that i'm comfortable with after knowing them for few months during the hostel time.

Pros of cyberjaya hostel:
easy to know & look for friends, easy to find kaki to play LAN game (yes dota / warcraft / starcraft / CS... play till the end of the world), can wake up later for class, easy to attend clubs and activities, able to enjoy a lot special events (food booth, career fair, CNY Extravaganza...).

Cons:
hot & pack room (i'm fat ), my roomate smoke in room (i hate this the most), turtle speed connection to internet (intranet is godly fast though), lack of food choice, cannot go to opposite sex's room.

addon:
when u reach MMU for ur first day, remember to be there earlier so u can reserve the single bed instead of the double deck. i was late and end up sleeping at the upper bed of the double decker. for new comer MMU will auto assign u a hostel room. if u want to be in the same room with ur friends, please let the counter ppl know so they can try to arrange it. but dont worry, after the orientation week u r free to change room if there are empty slot or the person of the other room agree to swap with u.

yes, CLS is very active in cyberjaya. there will be activities from time to time especially 2-3 months before CNY there will be tons of events going on.

currently there are how many law students in mmu?
anyone knows? just estimation will do...

there are classes as early as 8am, but last time for FCM the earliest i had is 9am.

LAN game is fun, last time when warcraft 3 just launched, whenever we need kaki just go outside of the room n yell "warrrrcrrraaaffftt" and within seconds all 15 players will be in the game lol. actually u cannot smoke in campus of cos, but it depends on the person want to follow or not. i dont know if they upgrade the internet speed yet but last time i use was like dail up speed. last time i dont bother to play online game with the line. but since nowdays have wimax / 3.5G HSDPA u might want to get one? food is slightly cheaper than cyberjaya rate... i dont know the price nowdays.

yea join 2-3 clubs n have fun. i joined CLS, JCS (japanese cultural society), DJ club and get to know some friends. around the campus is very happening. leng lui ah, a lot eh... i met my current gf in mmu also

tips: one good way to get closer to girls is to help them solve their computers' problem. if u have car then u know what to do bring them out for food!

MMU is using LAN network (free to use), so once u connect to the LAN u can online but u have to setup the LAN connection in your pc. as i know u cannot apply connection that requires land line (no phone line) so only wireless network like wimax / 3.5G if the coverage is there. btw, laptop is a better choice if u dont need high end performance... there will be time where u might want to bring laptop around the campus.

yea u can join as many club as u want, but might be very busy cos there will be meetings / events that need member's commitment.

Dude dont worry its all bout the lens also sometimes and technique. Come see the club join then you adjust. Dont worry so much yeah? photography does not meen you need a DSLR.
