well, there are a few things. People says cyber don't have much trees but I don't really agree. If compared to the chopped trees in Melaka, cyber has more. So, sometimes I like cyber cox I can really get the strong wind and its like nearby a beach or something.

In terms of activity, just seems to be moderate and nothing special. MMU melaka is more active.

In terms of facilities, fixture and fittings seems way better for cyber but i only knows for FOM. FOM is new, so all the things there are really superb.

Lol wut? MMU cyberjaya aint near beach. Not even close. My house is at Sepang and its 10 minutes away from the beach. Trip tto MMU Cyberjaya is around 40 minutes. One of the reason i decided to stay in Malacca because its too close to home. Less freedom, you know what i mean. Its windy because its an open area, less buildings around there.

Malacca is awesome in terms of people, food, activity, public transport, places.
Cyber is awesome in terms of the internet speed, facilities.

hi you all.

got a funny question, don't laugh ok.
What a newbie like me need to bring when we go there. I mean the stuff I  need to bring when I go to MMU and live in the hostel..

I need to list out the stuff to buy before I go there..
*
your documents(most important). Food, toiletries. clothings, compuuter/laptop.... Macam pindah rumah la. Word of advice, the hostel sucks. Its dirty, sharing toilets and bathroom for the 2-3 floors, cockroaches everywhere, tthere will be a season where birds will enter and shit everywhere etc etc.

Avoid EP at all cost please, a lot of stealing cases happens every sem and its too strict. The internet is not that good as what they said. Better get your own streamyx line here in Ixora.

roommate moving out, the bed going to be empty biggrin.gif

The pool and gym is there, it aint a sales gimmick. If you're a freshie, its best if you stay in Ixora since its near to everywhere. Food, laundry, grocery shop, food court, etc etc

Dont worry about staying with strangers. Its a risk worth to take. The more strangers you meet and get to know the better. It will come in handy someday.

u mean off campus accommodation? Hostel is of course way cheaper then the apartments. Roommate its up to the management, unless you have a friend or someone you know willing to stay with you, you can request a room for the both of you

ok, about the archery club, I heard it's only in Malacca? is it true?
I wanna join it. It would be suck if it's only in Malacca. sweat.gif
CuteSanSan, how are you? So , do you have enough info then.. brows.gif
*
im not sure about cyberjaya, but Malacca one definitely got.

QUOTE(Bigblock @ May 21 2009, 11:06 AM)
Yeah i heard supp will be at the end of the semester right? Might aswell remove it no whats the point?
*
Exam fail -> Pay Fees -> Go to the same class study back the subject -> take back the final exam ( Supp removed)

or

Exam fail -> Free -> still can go to class as usual -> Coursework marks carried forward if im not mistaken -> Take supp ( New supp exam)

Choose wisely

hey guys, i suggest you guys use the MMU thread in kopitiam rather than using this thread here for spamming. Try not to make this thread a chatting place. You can ask the questions there as well since most of MMUians use that thread only.

Just a friendly reminder before any warnings from mods or staffs

hey dude? you not going orientation? Btw, anyone can tell me how is mmu basketball club? Good or bad? Active or not?
*
MMU basketball club is quite active as well, they have their own training for newbies and stuff. There are 2 courts here in MMU and usually they are full of people until midnight. I think 2 is not enough and they should build more. Usually i will just play with my friends around 5-6pm. After this quite hard to get place.

QUOTE(Kanasaikia @ May 21 2009, 09:25 PM)
Haha! I might join you. Go MIA but will be around the 1st day & the last day  biggrin.gif  So, any other sport clubs good. Archery sound good. I never hold a bow n an arrow before. LOL! Is it good?
*
Archery Club accepts anyone even newbies. Just pay the fees and you can go for the training. To test your skills you can join MMU Olympics, they have category for beginners.

Haha! Basketball I'm just so-so due to my laziness to train in my sch days. Sien. But at least not det bad  tongue.gif

Feel like trying bow & arrow but then I want basketball. How? Can both?LOL!
*
You can join as many clubs or societies you want. There is no limit like high school. But you do have to pay the fees. It differs from 1 club to another. Some clubs collect every sem, some once every semester.

so beside that, what other bank/atm machine they have in MMU?
basketball, tall enough but me got this "kaki bangku" for all type of ball game. sweat.gif

yay, archery club accepts anyone even newbies.  This maybe the first time I fell happy for entering any sport's club. laugh.gif
so, normally we just have to pay the fee right and they will prepare the material for us?
so is this the average or the total population of a certain year?
*
Yes, you just have to pay for the fees. Everything will be provided. If im not mistaken every year the clubs are given like 5-10k of money to do whatever activity or whatever they want. with this amount of money dont tell me they wont have any equipments.

MMU Student Population as at 28th February 2009.
