Is it so difficult to go through http://www.mmu.edu.my?
Additionally, different courses have different entry requirements.

There is. The main intake is June intake. Usually the registration will only open in April, check out the website or major newspapers. smile.gif

hi,forgif me for asking some irrelated question, how's mmu student behave in mmu melaka campus? isit the study environment good for student?
*
I answer this from my own understanding, maybe Fruitie can help out answering this too.

Melaka is a much more vibrant place than cyber. There is a better variety of food there at a cheaper price too and tastier too.
Cyber is rather peaceful/quiet/isolated due to its location. It is also the location too that causes common items such as maggi, soap, drinks and even food sold there slightly more expensive than hypermarkets and melaka.

I believe that you yourself will be the best thing there is to control your study environment. But,if you are the type that needs the environment to control your habit, I strictly recommend you to stay in MMU Cyber's hostel. I myself was a lazy bump back in my tarc days and flopped badly. After enrolling into cyber, the environment did help me to change into a better person. But still.. it boils down to yourself. smile.gif

QUOTE(xaphyl @ Mar 10 2010, 05:19 PM)
May i know which campus you are currently in? Melaka or Cyberjaya?
Do you mind to give more info on both of the campus there?
I plan to go for the Melaka campus for accountancy but still having some doubt.
Thanks in advance ^^
*
I am from the Cyberjaya campus. Regarding the environment, refer to my reply to loyallovehuatyen.
For accountancy, both campuses follow a similar course structure and syllabus, right down to the same exam paper. I got no info regarding the lecturers there but the my friends in Melaka are quite proud of their lecturers while we in Cyber are proud of ours too. (there will be some lousy lecturers here and there, nothing's perfect)

For a little secret regarding Cyberjaya, please click.

thx ya~for ktar offer ACCA got 2 choice~i knw it~
still under consideration..cause my frenz most will move to UTAR for degree..so  maybe i also want changed study environment~ sweat.gif
if i choose ktar because shorter year for me study~jus about 1 .9 years~and after tat can go oversea for 3 month get a top up degree(most frenz say tat degree useless = = )
btw,if mmu i can get degree~and slowly study for acc, ktar syllbus look very rush ><"
can i knw if graduate from mmu is direct get MIA ady?and degree holder cannot be auditor?i dunno correct or not~if wrong plz correct me~
*
Well... I think the target should be the ACCA qualification which is linked to tarc's Financial Accounting. For your info, employers view those with professional qualification higher than those who with degree. So, in my opinion the top up 3 months degree is made obsolete by the ACCA qualification.

If you feel more comfortable with MMU's syllabus, then I think its worth joining MMU. Train up yourself to be an all-rounder accountant by participating in events, clubs and societies which make you stand out among the many degree and professional cert holders out there. The big 4 and BDO Binder are very often very willing to sponsor their employees who stand out to pursue their professional qualification later on during the employment. You'll be entitled for exemption for the 9 fundamental papers of ACCA, meaning you'll only have to pass the remaining 5 professional papers to get ACCA qualification.

Regarding MIA, after 3 years of relevant working experience after graduation, you'll be entitled to register yourself as a member of MIA.

Well, there are many things a degree holder employee are not authorised by the law to do. That is why the professional qualification is so valuable.

Hmm, here's something. What if I take foundation in UTAR and then pursue my degree in Computer Science in MMU. Is that possible?

You may need to check on the subjects if they can be credit transferred when you continue in MMU. If not, you have to start from scratch again.

I do not think UTAR certificate is recognised. COx UTAR did not follow the LLL semester set by MQA. UTAR foundation students cannot even apply PTPTN as they did not follow MQA's rules and regulations

It used to be only 8k, looks like after the new implementation, the fees have increased so much.
