I formatted my phone 3 times edi just being 'adventurous' today i just did another clean install

Hard reset the phone
Format the memory card

but somehow when i install garmin again it detect that previously I already had a Garmin... strange

Sadly for people who are not tech or IT savvy like me will have a lot of difficulties utilizing the tube to the max

garmin online can do that. Install garmin and use garmin online to get weather.

just do a backup. If any crashes or failure mostly cost by software corrupted. Restoring data usually will repair that corrupt application.

Backup works the same way like format but less hassle of losing data .

It works like windows system restore logic.

Personally i regreted get IS.. The dust is horrible.. Even i ask for application service.. they manage apply IS for my 5800 around 20min n their service is great.. but $$ not great.. When they done i was very happy.. when bring back home.. the dust start to stick at the edge cuz of the spray need 2-3 days to dry.. and the screen not good as normal SP! "Rubbery-feeling" not smooth..

I am sure there are many, but google maps, nokia maps, route 66 is not ready for 5800 yet. But honestly.. ask any veteran tubian.... garmin all the way you won't go wrong. I used to use nuvi and after i got my tube, I sold off my nuvi.

my 65 year old dad is using it, a red one. He doesnt even use the PC. Only surf property site and blogsites when im around.

He lieks the large screen for music videoclip and MP3. Memory card almost full with it. Previously not satisfied with N5610 small screen and lousy video playback. I think he also got impressed with the free 1000 songs.

but still he needs time because theres a learning curve. Received a few empty SMS before he mastered messaging on it.

I feel your pain bro. I purchased the IS online for 80 bucks. Put it on, hated it, took it off all within 12 hours. Wasted 80 bucks.. down the drain. Get the capdase soft jacket case. Brilliant

any of u have source of nice voice for garmin? the official website only provide two additional voice..

hey guys.....i played about 8 hours of music on my tube and my battery was halved....is it normal ?

Tried the sexy lady voice from mfm a while back. Make sure the language you pick to substitute works. Cause i picked one and it did not work well. But at the end i ended up going back to the american voice

how loud?
Is the backlight on?
Is it connect to something else?
Did u played at 8 hrs from fully charge?
Did u use the phone when its running 8 hrs?
Is there any background application running?

The specs say the tube is able to play 35 hours of non stop music
