Jabra BT8030 Review by echo.garden

This will be a pretty fast review on my latest gadget for 5800XM *Clap Clap* let's welcome Jabra BT8030, it's been one of my favourite gadget at all time ever since i bought it...

few facts and information before start:
1. It's convertible speaker/headset/headphone - Stereo
2. It support any device including PC, Laptops, 5800XM
3. the weight is about is about 300 gram
4. The original boxset including a carrying pouch which makes life so much easier, now i can carry all my cables with that pouch along with the headset.
5. Support AD2P (Stereo) and AVRCP (remote control), these two apply to your computer and your phone, i've tried it... i can play and pause my laptop music with the headset as well as my phone.
6. Range is about 10 metres
7. Inside the boxset got several books and 2 charger, 1 charger is power point charger, another charger is usb charger

the rest of the information you should go search for other review about very detail information on BT8030, what i'm going to tell you is just base on my experience after spending so many times with music in years...

in order to provide a better overview i would rate this product according to my usual rating 5/5 consider perfect:
1. Built Quality: **** (might not have the best quality in-terms of material use, but the design and the weight give the headset very solid feel i would like to rate it 5 stars but after comparing to some best headset in the market, i decided it should only put 4 stars)
2. Ease of Usage: ***** (Stereo headset with handsfree, speaker mode capability, what else you can think of? USB Charger+Power point charger? it's just a plus to that device)
3. Portability: **** (a bit heavy and bulky, but still without wire... this headset is consider portable)
4. Sound Quality: **** (i cant give this headset and speaker a full rated sound quality due to some reason which i'll explain later)
5. Value for money: ***** (nuff said, speaker + handsfree + headset + stereo + wireless for only RM280 imba)
6. Durability: *** (Sophisicted headphone, with nice silicon rubber-like surface, you wouldnt wanna drop it.... it's just for someone who know how to "handle with care")

Now for the sound quality part, first of all it had a rather large and heavy magnet that provide the extra bass boost therefore the bass output for both headset mode and speaker mode have the bass level strong enough for your enjoyment (after tested i can only tell you, it's 10 times better than laptop built-in speaker and some 2.0 pc speaker, of course without subwoofer it's kinda minus, below i've attached a video with live recording so you can judge yourself) this is the up part, as for the down part the headset treble clarity is not as good as gaming headset and some special headset which designed for pure music enjoyment, i'm not saying treble is not clear, it's just not as clear.

tested in car, tested in home, tested while walking, this device performed well.... burning for 8 hours non-stop music playing have yet to test it's maximum performance, battery duration is definitely cool enough for me.. for car usage it can act as speaker phone with large enough voice and great capability of adapting car environment, i brought my fren along and he tot it was the car stereo ^^..... so now i use it for my laptop speaker, my mobile stereo headset, my car audio... but i notice a little bit of difference comparing speaker mode and headset mode... for headset mode, the sound quality is great, for speaker mode, the sound quality is not as good as headset mode... while i was driving to KFC drive thru during dinner time, i pressed paused at the headset, with my headset still on, i can hear clearly what the waitress said and taken my order, but when i on the music, the sound filteration is good as it partitioned outside noise very well.

to conclude this headset, i would suggest the following:
1. This speaker is for beginner/intermediate that's looking for full stereo headset, for professional i would still suggest wired headset
2. Bass quality great, treble clarity not as good as expected
3. Weight is average, good for multiple usage such as car audio, laptop audio, mobile audio, for those who seekking AIO audio device.
4. Value for money, i got no comment on this, because, it's just worth getting, AIO, portability can convert to both speaker and headset, it's just like our tube which got everythingg and priced at RM1300
