Btw before I turn in for the night.. wanna share that Killme v1.35 is so much better than v1.30. If you can sign your v1.35 I say go for it because when i terminate all processes in 1.35 I can recover back 52mb of RAM. But previously in 1.30 I can only recover like 45mb.

Most ppl often question is this HP worth it or not... comparing this hp and that hp function and tings like that.... so i decided to write some simple guide below

Mobile selection and purchasing guide:
1. Money/Budget: How much money you have, what's your budget for ur new phone, this is the first constraint, what u buy is what u willing to spent... if you do not have budget constrain then you can go to next step.

2. Functionality and Performance: If you do not have budget constraint, then go for the best hp in the market, despite the price is skyrocketing till 2k-3k... if you thinking about issit worth it or not... then you can go to next step...

3.Value for money: Simple calculation on how to select your phone, 1st: List down all the function you hope you can acquire, 2nd: List down all the function that you must have, after u list down, then you can start comparing....... how? how to compare? below is the steps:
a. Put separate pricing for all the things you wan according to importancy. eg. GPS: RM200, WIFI: RM100, this is to quantify what you need and dont need.
b. Add up all the value together and you get a total price, the one with the highest price using this method will be the one that can satisfy you the most, however if you thinking worth it or not you will have to look at the difference of your ideal estimation and the actual price, lowest difference between ur estimation and actual will be the one u looking for.

according to information i provided, the combination should either be option 1 + option 3 or option 2 + option 3, either budget+value or without budget+value, following is an example i will show u all:

My pricing according function to my preference (Must have list):-
GPS = RM500 (Most important to my liking)
Wifi = RM400 (2nd to my liking)
MMS = RM350 (2nd important to me)
3G = RM300 (3rd important to me)
Video Recording = RM200 (not that important already)
Camera = RM100 (I got SLR with me... not really important)
Total = RM1850

My pricing according function to my preference (Additional component):
8 megapixel = RM20
5 megapixel = RM10
With flash = RM10
VGA Video recording = RM20
Additional card slot = RM10
HD Video recording = RM50

1. Phone A Original Price = RM2000:
Function: GPS = RM500, WIFI = RM400, 3G = RM300, MMS = RM350, 5MP Camera with flash = RM10+RM100+RM10, VGA Recording = RM200+RM20
Estimated Ideal Total Price = 500+400+300+350+10+100+10+200+20 = RM1890
Original minus Ideal total price = RM110 (lower price for better value)

2. Phone B Original Price = RM2400:
Function GPS = RM500, WIFI = RM400, 3G = RM300, MMS = RM350, 8MP Camera with flash = RM20 + RM100 + RM10, HD Video recording = RM200+RM50
Estimated Ideal Total Price= 500+400+300+350+100+200+RM50+RM20+RM10 = RM1930
Original minus Ideal total price = RM470 (higher price for best value)

For those who got dont mind paying or without budget constraint they should got for Phone B, for those who wan value for money, they should go for Phone A, as it can provide best satisfaction at a lower money for value.

Yea Omnia is twice the price of tube. Furthermore its WM6.

Ive decided to go for Nokia BH-503

Echo I think u miss out the part of OS. You should include limitation of software. Example S40 can cost up to 4K because of design.

Example WM6 ? Symbian? Its some advantages as well.

For bluetooth headset I recommend u to try Motorola S9. ITs very budgeted and small.

Thanks for the guide Echo. I guess camera is still quite important for me as I dont have a SLR or even a semi sad.gif I think im so used to the user-friendliness of Nokias sometimes im not willing to try other brands. I.e sms to multiple contact or MMS etc. Guess i just have to keep testing other phones before i actually commit. I have no questions about the software or functions of the 5800. Now the problem i have is that the 5800 looks cute and nice but 'cheap' compared to the Omnia but I dont like Omnia's design neither. In terms of design I love the iPhone, but the iPhone's specs and features is, SIGH.. the iPhone is just a outdated device with an extremely high $ tag. So how? Dilemma leh sweat.gif and like you guys said the Omnia is double the price of the 5800... rclxub.gif

Design wise, I have to agree... the iphone is the fashion choice. But it is just so outdated. And the plans that maxis are offering are a joke. They are selling a one year old phone for brand new prices. And I think a lot of people on this forum might be used to symbian. So there is the OS issue. As for the samsung hd, if you are thinking about that price range, and want the symbian os, then the n97 will be another option when it officially comes out. The good thing about the n97 is the onboard keyboard. And I just read that samsung is launching 13 new touch screen phones in the coming months. So... choices choices choices smile.gif Haha... personally, satisfied with the value for money of the tube, provided you can overlook the quality issues (earpiece, lcd, etc)

Tried reinstalling, same problem still there. Anyone know where it stores its data so i can erase it. Tried deleting the config.dat files from stepcounter and sports tracker. Aspire any idea?

Hey aspire,

Got it working. Had to uninstall and delete the config.dat files from both stepcounter and sportstracker. It does not list 5800 there but it does work with our phone. Many users have used the software. It is pretty cool. Can track exercise, sleep, food, stress etc. Also can sync with stepcounter if you install that. Stepcounter can count how many steps you do in a day. Install and try it out smile.gif Me gonna start using it today, see how many steps i take in a day (using the accelerometer to determine how many steps we make)
