eh ? my installation files are in the pc. the application runs in computer.
still not sure whether signing applications are 100% legal as some certs can be home brewed.
If someone can confirm that it is 100% legal then can put up a tutorial then. nod.gif

oh i c, thought it was like signing on the phone. so essentially it works like SiSSigner too.

my previous posts abt ways to get our own devcerts, which I have trimmed to include only non-warez site have been removed here too. It leaned towards illegal cause of the ability of devcerts to sign cracked software, which i do not agree.

devcerts does not change whether an app runs as full version or not on ur phone. It simply allows the app to be installed, whether trial or not. The ability to make an app run as full version is up to the cracking part of it, not the signing part of it.

i see no one being robbed of their livelihood if we use a devcert to sign homebrew freeware, which if one follows this discussion are plenty.

for example, if a trial app is unsigned, signing it using devcerts only allows it to be installed

not in any way does it make a trial app become a full version app

i think this is irrefutable

Guys and gals, I am not sure if anyone else is watching H264 format video on his/her 5800, but I'd just like to share the settings that work fine for me.

Finally, after months of torturing uncle Google and testing, I have found the optimal settings for H.264 video playback on the 5800..

* using Mediacoder 0.6.2.x *

video encoder - mencoder
video format - H264
video container - MP4
video bit rate - 512kbps
video resolution - 352x288 or 352x240 (I use the latter since it's nearer to the 16:9 ratio)
video frame rate - 25fps (30fps works too)

audio encoder - nero
audio format - LC AAC
audio bit rate - 128kbps
audio channels - stereo
audio sampling rate - 44KHz

Sorry, I don't recall seeing any H.264 conversion guides on the first page. If I am not mistaken, H264 (MPEG4-AVC) is better than xvid or divx (MPEG4-ASP).
