Okeh a few questions ;

1) Silkscreen frame , Fabric Paint and Photo Emulsion , do you know how much do they cost ?

2) If I use your alternative for a lightbox , do I terbalikan the image because the light is coming from above instead of below ?

3) Once the image is burned to the silkscreen , is it permanent or can you wash it off to put on a new image ?

4)What type of paper and oil do you use?
Tankeeuuh

silkscreen frame ,
rm4.50 for a3
for the silk , rm5.90 from kamdar

fabric paint rm2 also can get tongue.gif
photo emulsion vision art rm25 plus sensitizer rm6.50

nope , no need. if theres any error , the screen still can be used smile.gif

you use normal paper and cooking oil ! tongue.gif

yeah you can make diy lightbox , i use two thick silkscreen frame to make mine.
dont bother asking other lowyat forumers for help with the lightbox ,
i did once and they started bragging about them making lightbox and
obviously not helping me with my lightbox. i got very irritated.

Anyway lol out of topic , in the end i made my own lightbox with only rm30
i think. or you can get the vision art lightbox for rm95

user posted image

i use my own used silkscreen frame to combine and made a frame out from it
and i use a flat piece of wood so i can put my ringlight to it, the glass costed
me around rm12 , the ringlight around rm10 ( rm8 for the ring light ) and most
of the stuff i found around the house hahahaha basically i just korek and use whatever i have.

quite mafan tho , but it's fun makng your own lightbox smile.gif
good luck !

For photo emulsion, i recommend socomask , ( its the black container , the emulsion is purple )
I bought the emulsion from somewhere in kl i cant remember ._. and the green bottle ,
the emulsion is in red. the red version is good , but make sure your silk have smaller holes.
lol must use expensive silk.I'll upload the other picture later.

Hi,

just to share  smile.gif

Khai lien have many type of emulsion, there are for t-shirt(garment), pvc, metal etc.
the best for you is to drop by their shop and ask them.

i'v used khai lien emulsion, they have the purple (come with sanitizer), pink(premix with sanitizer), and green(come with sanitizer)

the best is the purple, it can give you very sharp image.

But compare than khai lien, hai kuang gives you a cheaper price for the purple emulsion.
i still using the hai kuang(socomask)

one bottle can make more than 30 screens definitely. my class use one bottle tongue.gif but it depends on how many times you redo. for a3 size.
preferably dont use coloured lightbulb , white tungsten light would do because you're burning the images onto the screen with white light its cleaner better faster.

i use 7 minutes to burn and remember , use a hairdryer to dry the screen faster and when you do the photo emulsion coating , make sure its really really thin. if its too thick , it will spoil the image burning and it wont be clean.
