Automatically allocated to one of them I guess.
Try clicking on "My Timetable" on the upper right and see where those lectures are.

Between PSA and Chem, which is more easier to study/score ? Which would you recommend to take for 1st sem?

Math for Eng is almost full when I registered, damn, has to take up my originally empty Fri. Hey, just now you're in which group for the school tour? Amin's?

I'm also a commencing student, so I have no idea which one is better, but some seniors did advise me to take PSA first, as I'm still not sure whether I really want Chem Eng, and they say PSA gives a fairly accurate representation of Chem Eng for me to try out.

Ah, I was originally in Aaron's group, then a couple of guys went over to Amin's group to balance out, I'm one of those guys. tongue.gif

Great guy, Amin. Anyway, what did you look like? I'm the guy with the purple shirt and jeans, but there's too many guys there anyway, hard to recognize anyone at all.

It depends on your luck.
Taking PSA for semester one is a good choice.
PSA gives you a general idea of what chemical engineering is like.
PSA is definitely easier than Chemistry.

On another unrelated topic, I thought of going back early to conduct the tour.
But I didn't. LOL
If you guys have any questions feel free to ask me =D
I'm a second year engineering student.

btw, is the buddy-buddee program for engineering still on?
Is Dr. Lan still your 1st year coordinator?

All the best and welcome to Monash.
Cheers!! thumbup.gif

Haha, yeah, nearing the end of the school tour, everyone in my group keep finding places to sit down whenever we just finished touring a lab or waiting for a lift or when given any excuse actually.

Yeah, finished allocating my classes, 3 days of 8am classes, one 9am day and one 10am day. Mon and Tue, and probably Thur starts from 8am till 5 or 6pm sweat.gif
But it was almost full when I was registering, had no choice of time in some classes as only one group was available.

Nice! When is it?
Oh, he's the new first year coordinator.
Dude, I think it's wise to spread out all the labs+tutorials, or else you will be extremely tired.
Cheers =D

Can't change most of the times, they're mostly full. It was already pretty limited when I was choosing though. rclxub.gif

Anyway, for the buddy buddee thing, I'm not sure when is it, they did say something about a movie night though... rclxm9.gif

Also, does anyone know what the mid week mingle thing involves? I know that there are games and stuff, but anyone know any details? How about seniors? How was the mid week mingle for the last few sems?

Oh? I guess you have to make it work for you smile.gif

Yea, there will be a movie night.
But before that, there's another event for the buddees to choose their buddies.
It's like a senior-junior thing, which is great cause you can ask for advice from your seniors.

Mid week mingle was ok, I guess.
Not many engineering students attended it last year though.
There are games, not to mention food. LOL
If you are free that night, maybe you can go and mingle around with people from other faculties.
It's always good to make new friends in uni.

not supposed to, but a few of us smuggled ourselves in anyway.
can't do that for certain subjects though especially if there's group work or anything that involves the name list
